Dressed like a Ninja. How often do you sit on the floor? How often do you get up from the floor?... How is that transition? Do you need to use your hands? Support? Help up? My Yoga classes help with movement and I work to inspire moving in ways that you aren’t used to doing. Bringing awareness to how you move, how you want to move and how to get there. Keep moving! #bigskyyoga #movementnerd #springyoga2021 #whydidsbury #zoomyogaclasses

We started the Big Sky Yoga Zoom Spring classes last week. Each class is a full body focus with a piece of it dedicated to mobility. Here are the props I suggest for this week’s class.... Using weights and blocks and the BSY Mobility package allows students to experience movement in different ways, giving the opportunity for feedback and possibly adding more focus to the movement. Still, I do not consider my Yoga classes work outs but Movement Classes with mindfulness. Happy Tuesday. #zoomyoga #whydidsbury #letsmove #springyoga #yogamamas #resilientcommunity #bigskyyoga #movementnerd

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!! I hope for today you can celebrate all the moments with your loved ones. I am a photo journalist. I love the angles, the colours, the impact an image can have on us, emotionally, mentally and physically.... It helps me remember. When times are tough I spend time going back through my photos and sit with them. They always call out to me, keep going, it’s worth it. Dave made a picture collage for me to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Being in a marriage is one of the toughest things I do in my life, but because we are in a place to both grow and learn and keep trying, one of the best things I will do in my life. I am forever grateful that we chose each other and keep choosing each other even when it feels impossible. I am a realist when it comes to love and marriage. Sometimes marriages just don’t work and sometimes they do. Wherever you are on Valentine’s I hope you feel LOVED. #bigskyyoga #ValentinesDay2021 #love

I think there is an illusion that if someone is good at something, they do it perfectly. Witnessing people who are masters or very accomplished, they make lots of mistakes. They just don’t think of it as a problem and they learn and keep going knowing that they will make more mistakes.... Let’s drop that whole way of thinking. Breathe. Let your shoulders fall away from your ears. Put your hand on your heart and feel it beating. Cheering you on. #bigskyyoga

How are you coping? With everything going on, I have to be very purposeful in zapping myself with things that nurture my nervous system and care for my soul. When I do these things I am more likely to :... Sleep better Fuel myself better Drink less wine Drink more water Connect with my loved ones Keep things in perspective I can’t approach my life by putting sleep, food, water, relationships first. I fail every time because it is only behaviour that I am working on. When I focus on my insides first....the outside flows. For me, moving, being outside and creating all help keep things aligned. Cheering you on. #bigskyyoga
