3 years have flown by. From starting out with no understanding of pizza, to now creating something unique to contribute back to the pizza community and this city. We’ve had our ups and downs, our supporters and doubters but we are still here. The family hasn’t changed, in-fact it’s grown, we’ve had customers become our dearest friends. As well, a young visitor from Japan who we have embraced and passed our knowledge down to so he can hopefully open his own pizza shop one day.... Some may think we are just some pizza shop, but we’ve created bonds with the community here, experimented with flavours, chasing perfection, making people smile, heck we’ve even cooked up some pretty delicious burgers. So here we are thanking you, all those who’ve come through, we continue to do this for you. We’ve got more plans, more experiments to come. Stay tuned! Welcome to our family of pizzas, Kiki’s Memories. @kusineratoronto sharing the love and we so happy to include it on our daily menu. Ingredients: Cream cheese Shredded Mozzarella Grated smoked cheddar... Diced pancetta Pineapple Glaze Chives Cracked black pepper Kiki’s Memories started out simple, as a grilled cheese actually. Around holiday time, my family would usually have Pinaham instead of a turkey, and we would always have leftovers. I would always take those leftover slices, add in more pineapple juice to a pan, more brown sugar and really glaze the slices of ham. I’d then toast up some bread with cream cheese, mozzarella, smoked cheddar, and then add in the candied ham and make one killer grilled cheese. The cream cheese balanced out the sweetness of the ham, while the other cheeses accentuated their flavours and gave one awesome cheese pull in the sandwich; because who doesn’t love a cheesy grilled cheese? This holds up as such a prominent memory for me because it reminds me of the weird intermediary days in the house between Christmas & New Years, was one of the first few things I’d ever cooked, and probably the only thing that I’ve still routinely cooked throughout the years. There are specific times for pickups to ensure we make the pizzas promptly and keep it as hot as we can for you. Pick up is the only option this time but we’ve limited the amount of pizzas available by specific times so the flow of people is smooth and that we can maintain an awesome experience for your all.
