Bikes for Cuba

Just transferred a nice donated bike to a young cycling coach in Las Tunas Cuba. Jennifer Sperez coaches the younger kids in the school program in Las Tunas. To date BIKES FOR CUBA has helped over 500 young cyclists with bikes and equipment. More info at www.bikesforcuba.com

Visited with the Las Tunas junior cycling team last week in Cuba. Managed a short ride with them. We need help in sending donated bikes and equipment to this team and others across Cuba. It's easy to transport packed bike boxes on the airlines(free mostly) and we assist in making the transaction run smoothly. The 2019 Circuito De Ruta stage race in Cuba is under way....83 of Cubas top cyclists in an eleven day series of road races all across Cuba, between 110 and 200 kilometers a day, ending in Havana. Holguin's Alajandro Parra wins stage 2.

BIKES FOR CUBA is sending more great donated bikes to the junior teams in Cuba including this nice Louis Garneau road bike with size 650 wheels. We really need some size 650 tires and inner tubes for these bikes as they are hard to locate in Cuba. Used tires/tubes are okay. If anyone out there wants to help, please contact us.
