We need to face the reality that we will not end bullying. It has been a part of society since the beginning of civilization and exists at all levels of society today. Our best strategy today should be on developing the best tools for dealing with that reality. How do we equip kids with the skills to deal with being bullied? How do we equip school staffs with the skills to respond effectively with bullying? What programs can we implement to help the bully change their ways? What resources exist for the parents of a bullied child or the parent of the bully? Let’s commit the resources to develop the most comprehensive, multi-pronged system for making our children’s lives as bully proof as is possible.
