When I read that quote, my eyes welled up a bit because it resonated with me in a way that I couldn't put into words. There is so much that as a Black woman we hold onto because the world expects us to be strong. We're expected to have all the answers and if we don't to go find it.... We are expected to carry everyone's burdens yet often don't have anyone to unload ours on. So at this point we're not sure if we're strong or numb but we know we have to keep pushing because if we don't trust me the world would be at a stand still. So are you strong or just numb? As for me being tired is a luxury so strong or numb I've gotta keep pushing. #billingsconsulting

Don't you have enough? That's what Shonda Rhimes was asked by an ABC executive after asking for an extra ticket to Disneyland for her daughter. Shonda Rhimes the woman, Black woman who once OWNED Thursday night's.... Shonda Rhimes who made history after she became the first Black woman to showrun a primetime TV show. Shonda Rhimes who has broken down stereotypes bycasting women of color in powerful roles. Shonda Rhimes who made the network millions, and presumably that executive, could not get an extra ticket and was almost berated for asking. If you ever have problems understanding why Black women are frustrated by the BS that is the corporate world. Look no further than Well she answered that question by leaving the network and inking a 150 million dollar deal with Netflix.
