Thank you all so much for the overwhelming support expressed for me in tonight's election! I stood as a candidate for council because I believe in and love this city. I'm honoured to receive a mandate to work on behalf of all citizens to achieve the full potential of our region! I want to thank my wife Lori and daughter Samantha for all of their love and support during the campaign and in the years leading up to this day. Thank you as well to my whole campaign team for all of... their dedication and effort. Congratulations to everyone that put their name forward as candidates in this election. Congratulations in particular to Mayor-Elect Bill McKay and the rest of the successful candidates for council. I look forward to working with you all over the next four years!

Just some thoughts on the eve of our election, I have profound apprectiation and respect for the wisdom, creativity and passion I've heard from thousands of folks over the past month. Nanaimo is a remarkable place because of the diverse,wise and dynamic people who live here. Our future is great, our citizens are great and we reside in the most beautiful place on earth. It is with great honour to be on the ballot in tomorrow's election, and it would be of greater honour to represent you.

whats on my mind ? I ll tell ya ,,, Bill Yoachim for Nanaimo City Council people,.. thats whats on my mind, I have known William Yoachim since Grade 8. What a ... spirit this man has, i am a 5th generation Nanaimoite,and have crazy passion for this city , and am trying to keep it as green as possible by the way,, back to Bill,,, the last time I saw Mr Yoachim, My Mother and I had the honour of playing our music for an event held at the center st. location on the # 1 reserve , for part of the First Nations day and re opening of the store there. what an honour. When seeing Bill , we embraced in a big hug and we thanked one another for our parts in the day ahead . I could nt help but notice how at peace Bill was .Its always so good to see him. What a beautiful day to be on the campaign trail today. Was out and about which brought me to Wisteria Lane, this story is what makes Nanaimo so great, before Wisteria Lane, the alley was a hub for drugs and prostitution, but community champions Doug and Tanya Hiltz, Norm Abby began a movement to reclaim the lane. They have done that through arts and grassroots community work, today we have 'Wisteria Lane' which has beautiful paintings, plants and is continuing to grow from there. Today Sammy and I were fortunate to meet and witness the beautiful work from the extraordinary people of Wisteria Lane.

I would like to thank those that we're able to attend last evenings mixer at The Grand Hotel and the Sirri Family for hosting. It was great to discuss my platform and to hear from the people. Nov.15 vote Yoachim, let's do this, together.
