Sigh covid go away, my front door has no more room for signs

We are ready to open on Tuesday, February the 9th. Our awesome staff have it all deep cleaned and set up, ready to see you guys! We are so excited to see our customers again! Some protocols in place ... - we DO require masks upon entry until you are seated. Please don’t put us in a difficult position about it, as there are other guests that also question why we are allowing people in without masks. We just want to serve the food and not be stuck in between anything political - as per Alberta Health Guidelines, we are only permitted to have up to 6 people at the table, and they must be from the same household. There are other provisions for those who live alone.... - we are required to do a contact tracing log by law now. We only require a name and a phone number of one of the parties at the table. Please visit the Alberta Health website for further information We respectfully ask our guests to follow these protocols, in accordance to Alberta Health guidelines. Ok- we have been working very hard with being creative with bubble tea. I think we mastered some basics to try before we roll out the ones with the alcohol - but I’ll tell you- those are delicious So we have the basics - milk tea with salted cream foam ... - Oreo milk tea - earl grey milk tea - mango smoothies with cream foam (real fruit ) - Oreo smoothie (not milk tea) - strawberries and cream (real fruit) - raspberry and cream (real fruit) We also have fruit tea with oolong tea (or jasmine) - passionfruit - pineapple - grapefruit - raspberry - blueberry - strawberry There is also taro, coconut, chocolate mint, basic strawberry, mango, blueberry, chocolate.... you get the picture We got a little crazy and tried tofu milk tea too- it was actually good So anyways- we’re inviting you to try these out and give us some feedback. If it’s up your alley, you’re gonna luv the boozey bubble tea I came up! Take care- please share.....

Today is our experimental day. We are trying the steamed lotus leaf fried rice. Only today since we need our monster steamer out It has chicken, shrimp, veggies, eggs, Chinese mushrooms tossed in fried rice and steamed in lotus leaves. Very fragrant. ... Chinese Braised Beef Brisket and Beef Tendon noodle soup. Beef is very tender, soup has a blend of spices and a sesame aroma. Reminds me of when I was in Hong Kong, having noodle soup in the awesome hole in the wall type cafe. I have this soup for the weekend. You can have it for lunch, or share as an Appie!

We have a private meeting room set up with a TV if you plan to have a meeting with 6 people and under (stupid covid- ), but generally can sit 24 -30 comfortably We have a tv in front of the bar for play off hockey. Initially for oilers but I guess we can cheer another Canadian team on!... We also have a bunch of new food that is up TEMPORARILY. Come check it out on my previous posts and trying to decide what is staying and what is going.

This weekend, we are trying out glutinous fried rice, otherwise known as Chinese sticky rice. Renown in dim sum restaurants, usually served in smaller bowls due to its heavy nature. It has Chinese sausage, Chinese pork belly, Chinese mushrooms. We will have this for a limited time as well. ... Give it a try

Experimented with Peking duck. If we were to test it out for special orders one weekend, would this be something you would try? First dish is the roasted duck with the skin and the crepes, second one is the lettuce wraps with the duck meat and veggies, the third is the duck bones in the soup OR you could do salt and pepper duck bones We are not doing it currently- just wanted some feedback

It’s the spicy, but I feel it in my soul Spicy and it warmed my mood during this nasty pandemic So I called it the deep heat chicken. What I should have named it is the deep heat happy chicken So come try it on a combo today

You guys are probably sick of hearing from me, but we keep getting asked so....... Amongst this beautification of 21 Westway Road and reno of our building, we are still OPEN It’s a mess- but our food is worth a little inconvenience

The only thing covid has done for me, was cancel all my kids sports and gave me some time to tweak our menu:... This week we are playing around some new dishes. These dishes are temporary to see what you like and what’s basically gonna bomb. Help me out. Or else click what you would actually want to try Try out the Typhoon Shrimp- panko shrimp, tossed in a house mix of fried garlic, chili’s, peppers, spices. This blend is so good, you can mix your rice with it Beef And Flat rice noodles (beef ho fun). I sold out every day on Saturday and Sunday. Let’s see if you actually want this dish Beef and Chinese Broccoli (Gai Lan). It’s a very crunchy Chinese veggie with the house marinated tender beef Peking Ribs- so this sauce took 3 hours to make!!! Fried pork chops in a sweet and sour sauce. It’s soooooo good Salt and Pepper Pork Chop. Marinated pork chops and the typhoon spice blend Oh- and for the brave ones- we also have salted fish and chicken fried rice (also very very very good). Temporary dishes - let’s see how they sell

Ever had some Hong Kong style street food? This is Beef Ho Fun. Flat rice noodles, seared beef, onions and bean sprouts. The trick is to stirfry this without the noodles clumping and using the just right amount of oil to prevent if from sticking. Most places have it drenched in oil . I have this for a limited time this week to see if you would order it. If you order- it’s on the menu! . All depends on you!... Oh- I forgot to add we have Beef and Chinese broccoli on the menu. I got spoiled today- our cook made Peking ribs and salted fish and chicken rice. Even this garlic broccoli, as simple as it is, was fabulous. It’s nice to not hit downtown Edmonton for this! We will have the Peking ribs for you to try out and some new dishes shortly!

Hi Everyone! We are still in the middle of the Reno’s, done by Tri-Stern contractors (legendary John Stern). Here is a preview. At this time, we have opted to not open the dining room on May 14th. First off, we can use the time to finish off Reno’s but foremost is we would like to ensure that the covid cases are continuing to drop off before we reopen. ... I do not have a set date yet but aiming sometime in the first week of June, (hopefully). We thank you for your understanding, and we cannot wait to serve you that beer in the new lounge (shopping for a big big tv)!!!

If you are not picky about the time you get your order, we are taking the orders and assigning an approximate time slot, and we will call you when we start the order. ... There are two numbers 780-962-3997; 780-962-8306. We have people out front to facilitate the lines and the pick ups. Please allow social distancing when you are lining up. We have two lines- one line to place an order and another line to pick up orders. We will run out the orders that have been prepaid to your car where possible. Please park only in the front of the building and not the side of the building. This is the first Mother’s Day that we had to change our style of ordering to all pick up. We've had many inquire if our phones are down. Both lines are operational, but during 3-6:30 it is hard to get through. Please try to pre-order earlier if you can. 780-962-3997 and 780-962-8306. Please do not try to order through google or facebook, as sometimes I don't see the notifications, and won't be able to reply on time. As we do have frequent line ups now- we are adding additional staff to facilitate the lines. Please be patient and join the line - please do not by-pass the line as we are trying to ensure we are following social distance measures. We have been incredibly busy the last few weeks, and very grateful for everyone in supporting local.

Im in a noodley type of mood. My hubby made both of these noodles. First one is the special fried noodle with house made BBQ pork, shrimp and marinated chicken breast with mixed veggies. ... This Shanghai Noodle has a twist. He put light curry in it so it’s not too overpowering with the soya, and the wok was HOT!!! He seared the noodles and meat perfectly so there is the smoky flavor.
