With winter approaching and temperatures plummeting, just a reminder about car seat safety. Thick or puffy winter coats should not be worn in carseats. In the event of a collision, the force of the collision would compress the jacket and leave slack in the straps. This could lead to your child being ejected from their carseats. Image is from the Facebook page Carseats For The Littles. Awesome page run by carseat techs & they'll answer any questions you may have.

Look, hon, no hands!! Sometimes breastfeeding really does feel like youre attached at the breast. However cluster feeding is very normal. Its your babies way of increasing milk supply for an upcoming growth spurt. Your body, and your baby are doing exactly what they need in order to increase milk supply. Then there's comfort nursing, which is also normal. Exhausting..but normal ;)

I am very blessed to have such a supportive group around me when it comes to breastfeeding. As my daughter is now a toddler (18 months) many people have expressed their opinions on it being time to wean. I have noticed that my dad is one of the biggest supporters of me nursing until my daughter weans herself. Any time she signs for milk, he's always the first to say "she needs some comfort".

"When we trust the makers of baby formula more than we do our own ability to nourish our babies, we lose a chance to claim an aspect of our power as women. Thinking that baby formula is as good as breast milk is believing that thirty years of technology is superior to three million years of nature's evolution. Countless women have regained trust in their bodies through nursing their children, even if they weren't sure at first that they could do it. It is an act of female power, and I think of it as feminism in its purest form. ~Christine Northrup"
