Did you make any 2021 New Years resolutions? If so, how are they going so far? Our resolutions (aka goals ) from a professional standpoint are full steam ahead , but from a personal side, they are quite the opposite. If 2020 taught us anything, it’s been the importance of being present. We’ve set a fresh intention for the new year to include slowing down, practicing gratitude & enjoying the ride! : @flash.adams

I think it’s safe to say 2020 was a challenging year for everyone. For some more than others. But, amongst all the challenges this past year presented, it was nothing short of amazing to see the way communities around the world have adapted, rallied and supported one another. After all of this is over ( sooner rather than later), we hope the lessons learned & the love shown will be one part of the new norm that carries over in our strive to get back to the way things were.... Thanksgiving 2020 Things look a little different for most of us. No big family get togethers, no small town traditions (for myself, it’s the @norwood_fair ), no friendsgivings, out of town guests, or long-awaited hugs from loved ones. But, amongst all of the change, there is such a strong commitment to the present now to be able to enjoy the future *all together* again soon. We are beyond excited to have won BEST KITCHEN for our West End Modern project at the Peterborough & Kawartha Home Builders Awards this past Friday. With everything going on in the world, the awards ceremony looked a little different this year (all done online), but our excitement was still the same. This kitchen features a stunning block colour palette, ultimate storage solutions, and coordinates beautifully with the connecting fireplace, reading nook + bookcases ( left ...for a pic). Okay admittedly, we all really love summer and every year have a bit (or like, more than a bit) of a hard time with admitting the breakup has occurred . How is your week going so far? This year is a big one for those with children heading back to school this week...Things may look a little (a lot!) different, but if there is one thing that is true in this world, it’s that children are resilient & adaptable. Does anyone have any tips they would like to share on how they have been coping with transitioning back to school with kids? Welcome, September! It’s hard to believe that fall is almost officially upon us. Summer 2k20 felt like it went by SO quickly (always the case in Canada though, eh?). This summer was certainly a different one - no concerts, festivals, weddings, or parties. The things we used to take for granted; hugging out-of-town relatives, hopping on a plane for a well-deserved vacay, or something as simple as stopping into your local grocery store without feeling fearful are not a real...ity right now for most of us. But, we are super-duper confident that we will be able to do & enjoy these things in the near future, and that everyone will never again take simple life pleasures like these for granted.
