Here's a look back at how we celebrated Valentine's Day at Birkdale Place. We like to do something special for our couples - married, dating and we even had someone’s first date!! We had 10 tables in a private room with acoustic entertainment, wine, a spectacular meal, and finished it off by having Baileys with dessert. We ended the night with a performance from our very own resident, Don Singulars Memory Lane Band combo concert!... It was a lovely event for all, thanks to everyone who helped make this event possible!

February has been such a fun-filled month! For Hockey Day in Canada, we enjoyed our own personalized cupcakes, chicken wings, mini hot dogs and nachos for lunch... low calories of course We also performed our Music and Movement dance to The Hockey Song, had a shootout and some hockey trivia. It was also very cool having some authentic hockey memorabilia at Birkdale Place. Shoutout to Greg for bringing an original chair from Maple Leaf Gardens!

Master Chef was a big hit at Birkdale Place! We had four contestants go head-to-head competing in several challenges: the perfect poached egg, the best tasting grilled cheese and the best no bake cookie. Our audience also got to enjoy some apps and wine, which may have led to some good-humoured heckling from the crowd ;) A big thank you to our judges for taking part in this fun event. After it was all said and done, Mary Lou was our big winner. Congratulations!

We're always having fun at Birkdale Place! Some residents and our team went out to lunch to Heritage fish and chips. We also learned a new card game, that was a hit!

We had so much fun seeing all the incredible lights down by Niagara falls and a lovely dinner at the Old Winery Restaurant. Even though we wanted to go in December, January was nice and quiet with the added bonus of having the lights all to ourselves!
