Birnie's Brood

Made an excellent trade today! Split some of my perrenials and exchanged for 6 adorable chicks! We have added 3 Black Copper Marans, plus 2 bantam Frizzle Cochins, and 1 Frizzle Showgirl :-) We weren't sure how to introduce them to the flock but brought Kentucky in and she can always be counted on to adopt chicks :-) She is such a natural mama! The pictures dont show it but there are 3 wee ones snuggled underneath her and she is so patient with the slightly older and more energetic chicks too!

Duck Duck is the cutest goose ever! Her adopted Mama Ethel is doing a great job raising her and she loves her muscovy sibling named "Goose" :-)

We have our first hatchling of 2019! First time Mama Ethel is doing great! Now to wait for the other wee ones and hopefully my goslings to hatch out as well :-)

We had white silkies. We had black silkies. We just HAD to get some brown ones too, right?
