This morning the Grade 6 Core class had the opportunity to have an interview with Emmy-award winning animator, Chris Marcon. He is an animator for the Netflix show, Last Kids on Earth, which is the class's favorite lunchtime show! During the interview they asked thoughtful questions about an animator's education and career opportunities. They learned a lot about the perseverance needed to succeed!

Parents who wish to change their child’s method of learning (ie; to move from face-to-face in...struction to the CDSBEO Virtual Learning Elementary School, or move from the CDSBEO Virtual Learning Elementary School to face-to-face instruction) effective November 9, must complete the survey before October 19, 2020 (survey link provided in the email). No changes or late responses will be accepted after this deadline. If you did not receive the email, but wish to change your child’s method of learning, please contact your school. Parents who do not wish to make a change do not need to complete the survey.

C"D"SBEO Week continues. Tuesday is D for Drawing God. We started with a wonderful whole school read aloud by Karen Kiefer called Drawing God. Mrs. Mac's class then did a wonderful follow- up art activity. Take time tonight to talk to your children about seeing God in all of his wonderous creations.

Tomorrow we ask all our Ravens to please wear Orange! On September 30th, wear Orange to commemorate the residential school experience and reaffirm our commitment to the healing and reconciliation process with First Nations.

Happy Monday Raven Families, Early last week handouts went home asking for signed consent for various school activities and information/nomination forms were provided regarding Catholic School Council. If you have not returned the forms please do so ASAP. If you are interested in Catholic School Council please use the self nomination forms or nominate a friend and return to school with your child.... Catholic School Council is a great way to stay involved in your child's education and have influence on the school culture and direction.
