, ! ' . In order to grow, chances are you will have some growing pains. ’ . ... Sometimes that personal growth means letting go of the people in your life who don’t share your vision or who don’t have your best interest at heart. : You may not have as much time to invest in friendships the way you used to. ! How many of you feel guilty for going back to work after being home for the summer months?? I won’t lie. I sure miss it! ... The extra time that my son and I got to spend together through the shutdown was precious. I’m so grateful and I wouldn’t trade it for anything! But, let’s be real. It didn’t always feel like that while we were in it! March and April were pretty rough around my neck of the woods. I was moving full steam ahead and then: ! Let me tell you, settling into that slower rhythm was NOT easy. I feel a lot of guilt when I am not doing. I attach a lot of value (maybe too much) to the idea of being productive. It was tough! Fast forward a few months to mid-May, it felt like things were starting to open up again just when I had found my groove. So, when I started to feel those familiar feelings, I completely shifted my whole mindset. I started asking myself what I was going to miss when I actually had to get back to work and to move forward with a clearer vision of the life I want! This shift allowed me to be a more present mom, fiancé, daughter, friend and dog momma! Although 2020 has been horrid in so many ways, I am beyond grateful for the lessons it has provided. For me, those lessons included slowing the heck down without feeling guilty, living in the present moment and creating deeper bonds and connections with both my family and nature. So, 2020, I will say and keep looking ahead to better days! What valuable lessons had 202 taught you? . See more
