Pet Groomers are an important part of your Pets' health team. Please sign and share the petition if you believe so. What Groomers do or don't, saves Pet owners hundreds and thousands of dollars in Vet bills. Pet grooming is much more than a haircut and is necessary for your pet's health and welfare especially for those who are unable to provide the care at home for any reason. Grooming is probably one service that does not require any human contact and majority of Pet groomer...s are easily able to offer curbside pickups. Masks, disinfection and sanitation are a way of life for majority Pet Groomers. Not everyone is able to provide the care their pets need and last lockdown is proof that Pets need Grooming. Groomers saw a great amount of pain and suffering by way of extreme matting, overgrown nails causing trips, falls and surgeries; ear infections, skin infections, anal gland infections, hematomas, lacerations due to attempted home grooms and much more. If you are reported not caring for your pet, you would be fined however, by revoking grooming from the essential list, the Province contravenes the Federal and Provincial laws. The Animal Welfare Act of Canada, Sections 444 to 447 and The Provincial Animal Service Act, 2019, Ontario, section 15 & 13. If dog walkers are allowed to go into clients' homes, then Groomers should be allowed to offer curbside care. Please sign and share to reinstate Pet Grooming to the list of services allowed to operate. Be the voice of the four legged community that cannot speak for themselves. Pebbles is only 6 months old and came for her first therapy swim to help her back legs. Right after her spaying, she somehow suddenly seems to have lost control of her hind legs and has started dragging herself on the floor and the Vets can't pinpoint the reason for it. Her parents decided to start water therapy to prevent muscle atrophy and also to develop the lost muscles and help with any pain she may be experiencing. Her movement seems to be better in water than on land and hopefully with consistency, can regain control of her hind legs. Fingers crossed. #goldenretriever
