Please care and share for Charlie our sweet hound boy: Meet Charlie - the coolest Coonhound around. He's 15 weeks old and is up to date on all of his vetting. ...He's a great pup, full of fun and frolic. He often gets the zoomies and loves to run circles in the backyard. He enjoys sniffing, exploring and running around with his foster parents! Charlie can become vocal so would not be the best match for an apartment or condo. He lives and plays with a little senior blind dog and three cats. As noted, he is prone to the zoomies and has found out that area rugs make great zoom boards! He is a typical kid and when it is bedtime he sometimes needs a little coaxing to go in his crate because he would rather stay up and play. He does settle and sleeps through the night. Out in the morning first thing for a long pee and then back in for breakfast. Surprisingly, he doesn't seem overly food motivated and did not seem to know what treats were but is learning and will take one carefully now. When he is eating he shows no guarding even if one of the cats goes over to see what he has in his bowl. Charlie loves people, kids and gets along with the other pets in the house. He will need work on leash walking but he's a clever chap - already responds to "sit" His foster mom says "He's such a pleasure to foster. He really needs an adopter who has a house with a fenced yard (no off-leash for Charlie, he'll follow his nose to Nova Scotia if given the option!). He needs someone who will take him to puppy classes so he can be the best dog he can be. Last week I had to run out quickly and was gone for a couple of hours. I forgot to put Charlie in his crate. When I got home a few of his toys were out of the box and he was fast asleep on a blanket on the couch". GOOD BOY CHARLIE! PHEW!" See more
