Céline studied Corporate Design at George Brown School of Design and is highly skilled in branding, logo design..., typography, illustration, and web design. Throughout her career, Céline’s has evolved her craft across industriesworking with global music festivals, backcountry brands, online educational companies, restaurants and a host of other innovators. Shambhala is one of the most established music festivals in Canada. Locally crafted, globally recognizedwe are stoked to contribute a small creative piece to this extremely well run event. If you’ve the pleasure of imbibing in the music and good vibes, then you may have seen our collaborative CNC design at the @grove_stage. Céline (Black Sheep's graphic designer that you know and love), Byron Whitlaw (the Director and genius behind the Grove Stage) and Colin Worobetz (the CNC master) worked together to create this wicked stage feature, inspired by Haida art. Playful and dynamic in the stage lights, this intricate wooden owl levelled up this open-air stagebringing a strong sense of design into the natural forest landscape.

For a while, we had a nice thing going with Facebook. We had some laughs, some great conversations. In the beginning it was all ‘long, meaningful conversations’ and ‘event invites’. But then, things changed. This friendly little platform opens companies up to a global community, which can be a good thing or a bad thing. Companies will inevitably receive harassment at some point, but when it is public and in poor taste, it can be extremely stressful and damaging. We rampantly... oppose bad ethics, and so this struck a particularly potent chord with us. For large companies, there are PR tactics and damage control strategies to employ. But, for smaller businesses, sometimes it’s easier to simply torch the channel and move on. Which is exactly what we did. The break up wasn’t a difficult one, because Facebook isn’t our main squeeze when it comes to social. We moved on, and so did our social. Everything was going along swimmingly, but for a few of the Black Sheep something was *missing*. Now1.5 years older, wiser and strongerwe are giving Facebook a second chance. So, to you good reader, we say: hello darkness our old friend.
