Black as Hell

It was always the same dream. Always before the dream ended, she would bolt upright in bed, drenched in sweat, and chest pounding blood through her head. Sometimes she was the victim, sometimes the thug, sometimes the witness. Always though, she ran into that dark alley, terrified. That alley that was now in front of her. #amwriting

We are taking the Kickstarter down! So, this actually translates into some good news, some bad news, and some reassuring news. First, although it is unfortunate to pull the Kickstarter down, the reasons for doing so are not so disheartening as one might think. One of our main artists, who did not have a pregnant wife when we started, now has a a whole new kiddo! His priorities have rightfully shifted and he will remain on the project, but looking after some of the periphera...ls and not the sequential art inside. As responsibilities shift, we have decided to take on a new colourist. Although the details are not settled yet, we are very excited for when we can announce who we are chatting with. It is difficult to say "let us change the artists, but don't worry, it will work out," to all of our current backers. Instead we will get the details worked out and return to hopefully find you still interested in our project. Which takes us to the reassuring news, we still have our Facebook page up and running and we have also started a Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/michaelsherwood) which is also up and running, where we will offer the items over the next few months that were designed as pledge rewards for our Kickstarter here. For those that go over to the Patreon, for $1, we will send you a new, exclusive piece of artwork, and there is also an opportunity to get a physical copy signed by the artist, Elisa M. Friesen. Now, we also realize that we were not hitting our target for funding. So, know that we are not trying to downplay that reality or sweep it under the rug. During this time that we are restructuring, we are also focusing on reaching the community better and building our social presence. We genuinely hope we can find all of you following the project and building in excitement as we continue towards our publishing goal.
