Another homegrown wrestler for #UNBWrestling, Kane is a longtime member of the Black Bears Wrestling Club’s U19 program. A 2020 graduate of Oromocto High School, Kane is a very strong and explosive wrestler, who will have an immediate impact amongst our lighter weight classes. Kane is an Atlantic Canadian Champion, NBIAA Medalist, and former member of the NB U18 Team. We are excited to have Kane continue with our program next season as he pursues academic excellence with UNB Fredericton - Faculty of Arts and athletic success with the UNB Reds!

A 2020 graduate of École Sainte-Anne, and longtime member our Black Bears Wrestling Club's U19 program, Elena is a very skilled and dedicated wrestler who will continue to contribute to the reshaping of our program. Elena is a national medalist, NBIAA Champion, and a member of the Team-Équipe NB at 2017 Canada Games. We look forward to having Elena continue with us next season as she pursues academic excellence with UNB Faculty of Management and athletic success with the the UNB Reds!

On Saturday Samantha Stewart placed 3rd at the Pan American Olympic Qualifier in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Sam will now wrestle the rescheduled World Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria, which is expected to be held at the beginning of June. SUSPENSION OF ACTIVITIES In accordance with UNB Sports Club's decision to cancel all practices, activities and travel for the remainder of the term regarding safety concerns surrounding the spread of the COVID-19 virus, all Black Bears Wrestling Club & Reds Wrestling Team practices have been suspended until further notice. We encouraged our athletes to consult the University of New Brunswick's COVID-19 website at https://www.unb.ca/coronavirus/. This website will be updated ...as more information and developments become available. Coaches have been in contact with our athletes and will update when regular programming can resume.
