We’ve just spent three weeks re-painting an apartment, getting it ready for new tenants. It was unexpected (hey remember last time we said if we had the time on the next turn-over we’d re-do all the paint ...), but worthwhile. Well cared for buildings = great tenants, and set the expectation for the relationship going forward: we’re in this together. While in our houses, care for them the way you would if you owned it. We’ll do the same, and we won’t neglect you either. We ...have expectations of symbiosis. But honestly, when we tackle a building, we eat like shit. I have a day job, we commute somewhat to our places, and we put all our time into the work and not so much into the healthy prep.
