One week awayLet’s talk about Virtual Craft Revival! This awesome virtual event let’s you shop from local handmade small businesses from the comfort and safety of your own home - and pickup all your items at once! Here’s how it works:... From November 22 - December 6 head to www.craftrevivaltbay.com and browse through the pottery section, then click on Black Dog Ceramics to shop my handmade pottery from my website. Use the promo code CR2020 to have all your items grouped together for pickup at the old Eatons Center - pickup dates are Nov 29 or Dec 13. Then just sit back and keep shopping from a HUGE selection of Tbay’s finest makers! I plan on doing 2 large shop updates for this sale, so there will be plenty of lovely items to choose from (tall Alder Steins will be in the second update). Thank you for supporting local this year, it means so much to us small one-women businesses - happy shopping! @craftrevivaltbay

Harebell flowers Over the summer I was able to press a larger variety of leaves than usual. I spent a lot more time in the forest watching plants grow through their seasons. I was also doing a lot of glaze problem solving, so I fired all my works once to solidify (called a bisque) and set them aside to wait for the perfect glaze. This week Im finally at the stage where I can take everything out of boxes and lay them out on the table, and I am flooded with summer memories.... Each dish holds an imprint of a once living thing frozen in time, for me it also holds a memory of walking trails and breathing fresh air. My hope is that by capturing these moments in clay, I can bring a piece of summer into your home
