PLEASE SHARE With summer-like temperatures already scorching through the city, please remember that dogs are NOT to be left in cars With only hot air to breathe, a dogs normal cooling process (panting) doesn’t work. A dog can withstand body temperatures or 40C for only a FEW MINUTES before brain damage or death can occur (c/o Ottawa Humane Society)... If you see an animal that may be suffering please reach out to the The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society or call 911 You wouldn’t be comfortable in a hot car, neither would they NO HOT PETS

HAPPY TAIL ALERT We are pleased to announce that Tayo has been adopted by our very good friends at Paws Above where he spent a few weeks training. Ola and Jeff worked with Tayo on a daily basis and it didn’t take long for them to realize he was the perfect fit for their pack. Tayo was already home. Thank you Ola and Jeff for welcoming Tayo and giving him a happy ending! @ Toronto, Ontario

This past weekend we made our first official trip around the greater Toronto area to deliver essentials to those who are currently unable to provide for their pets due to the current pandemic We have received an overwhelming response from our community and are working hard to meet the demand. If anyone would like to help out, please send a DM or email to [email protected] No one should ever have to choose between feeding themselves, their children or their pets.

FETCH & RELEASH: ENEBA #REPOST Fetch & Releash Eneba / 3 yrs / F / Mixed Breed / 28 lbs... Rescued from the streets of Egypt, this girl shows nothing but gratitude! Eneba is a dog full of love and life. She doesn't let her disability hold her back emotionally or physically Eneba's foster describes her as "Sassy, smart and loving". She is an affectionate dog who loves to entertain! Eneba is great with other dogs. She plays hard and gets along with all the dogs she meets. She loves to play fetch & enjoys her many 30 minute walks. She can independently keep her self busy with toys and bones but plays well with dogs and people. She is good with cats. Eneba is also good with respectful children 8 + years of age Eneba is special needs. She has paresis from the waist down. She does require a diligent adopter who will put Enebas needs for frequent diaper changes, in wheel chair and out of wheel chair time, rehab exercises and strict diet at the forefront of care. She requires someone who understands diligent hygiene as she is susceptible to bladder infections. Future adopter must be willing to learn and apply medical and daily care needs from current foster. Once you meet Eneba, you understand that this girl deserves the best care and to enjoy the second chance she gets at life! Eneba is a very well trained dog. Her current foster has set her up for success by teaching her good eye contact and teaching her to be a good all around dog. Eneba can be left home alone for up to 4 hours. She is crate trained Eneba's ideal home is clean, stairs are baby gated & someone is home often. Ideal home would also live within the GTA or within 30 minutes drives of GTA so that our rescue & foster can support if needed during transition For more info or to adopt, please visit fetchandreleash.ca

Moose was rescued on our Manitoba mission last September. He was found in the wee hours of the morning, sleeping on the front steps of our hotel. He followed us around the parking lot as we prepped for our long day ahead, but would often quiver and bark as the older pack of males came around, which led us to believe that he may have been picked on. We found a lump on his side caused by a couple of fractured ribs he had at the time, but he’s fully recovered and only has a s...light lump there to tell the tale of his bravery. He is an incredibly smart and affectionate dog, full of energy to spare! He’s approx. a year old, and will need an active family with another dog to help him wear off his energy on a daily basis. We’re looking for an experienced dog family who can provide him with the stimulation, boundaries and rules he needs as a teen dog. He has not been cat tested at this time. Moose is ready for adoption! If you are interested in adopting Moose, please fill out an application on our website at www.blackdogresuce.ca. Only selected applicants will be notified @ Toronto, Ontario See more

This sweet shepherd mix from Team Dog Rescue hasn’t gotten any attention. He’s been in foster care for over 130 days. NOW is the perfect time to give a dog a forever home. We’re all home and social distancing so why not put that attention on a dog that needs it? REPOST TEAM Dog Rescue: BEING HOMELESS: Hi everyone, my name is Yoshi. I am a pretty handsome 7 year old Akita and Shepherd mix that originally was surrendered to a shelter, then transferred then to ANOTHER she...lter when i didn’t find an adoptive home, and then... you guessed it, when i didn’t have adoption interest there, i was finally welcomed into foster care through TEAM Dog Rescue. I have been with my exceptional foster family for 130 days, so as you can imagine, I have been homeless, for a very long time. Ive tried lots of different ways to get some adoption interest, I have tried Tinder (my profile is still up and can be found here: https://bit.ly/3bfgSvD I tried pleading for a home for the holidays, that can be found here: https://bit.ly/2J97cGU But what I didnt try? Was getting a makeover and a professional photoshoot done, a special thank you to Dog's Life Studio for helping me out by volunteering their talent and time in hopes that will do the trick. How is it possible that no one wants me? That no one is willing to provide me with the unconditional love I deserve? I’m such a cool dude and really just want a home where I can please my humans. All these other dogs have come and gone from the rescue and I’m still here...... waiting. I bet if I was famous someone would want me. Please share me, and stay tuned to see how ridiculously handsome I am in my photoshoot. But for now? A nap, being Tom Brady handsome is hard work. Love, Yoshi

We’ve decided to work alongside various Toronto rescues to help them get their beautiful babes adopted, especially in these times of crisis, check out this beautiful boy from Fetch and Releash REPOST: Fetch & Releash Floyd is still waiting for a family to call his own. In the 7.5 months he’s been in out care, he’s had next to no interest and we just don’t get it...His foster describes him as a gorgeous, smart, super sweet, funny, playful, curious and goofy boy.... Floyd loves to receive affection from his trusted humans and will actively seek out your love by nuzzling his snout into your lap and burying his head in your hands for pets. He is an extremely smart boy and very food-motivated. He knows sit, paw, other paw, down, stay and sits politely for meal time. Floyd’s favorite activities include going for long walks, playing with his stuffies and running around in the yard getting his zoomies out. After playtime, he also enjoys napping on the couch while you watch Netflix. Floyd’s ideal home will have some dog experience and live in a quieter, lower traffic neighbourhood. Floyd does sometimes bark at hallway noises and so condo living may not be ideal. He would love a big fenced yard to run around in but as long as he received adequate walks and outdoor time, this is not necessary. Floyd does very well with respectful children, but would do best as the only pet in the home. Floyd would appreciate an active family that enjoys getting outside and going for walks. He is fearful of other dogs he encounters on walks and might bark and growl. He will need a family that is willing to continue the work with his leash etiquette. Floyd is very receptive to positive reinforcement based training and learns quickly with consistency and patience. He is both crate trained and potty trained and can be left alone for up to 5 hours. Reach out to F&R to learn more. We know Floyd’s forever family is out there!
