See the finalized Attendance Area for the new Public High School - Dr. Anne Anderson, scheduled to open for Grades 10-11 in the fall of 2021 https://epsb.ca//spacef/dranneandersonheritagevalley10-12/
We understand that it’s been a warm winter and people want to get outside, but the signage at the rink is being ignored. The parking lot is full and cars are spilling over to the school parking lot. There are too many people on each sheet of ice. People are playing hockey even though the nets are locked up. We will monitor the number of people at the rink for the next three days and make a decision whether to shut down the rink or not. We don’t have any way of restricting access or the financial resources to pay people to police rink usage. The rink attendants we hire to clear snow are young kids. They aren’t paid to take verbal abuse from the public. The league cannot afford a $100,000 fine.
To the people that let their dogs pee and poo on the hockey rink ice in Allard, please be a responsible pet owner instead of disgusting.
Some exciting news for Heritage Valley residents. The development permit for the new Catholic High School has been approved. This photo shows its future location relative to the shopping centre and Public High School that is under construction.
Please contact [email protected] if you are interested! Our next virtual board meeting will be the third or fourth week of January.

Maybe we were not specific enough the first time that we posted this. We are looking for volunteers to start the work of planning a playground for the future school in Cavanagh. If the work is not started soon it's quite likely that the school will open without a playground. No volunteers, no playground. Please share this volunteer signup sheet link with your neighbours. Once we have enough volunteers we can arrange a virtual meeting with the City of Edmonton to start the project. https://volunteersignup.org/D7CED
