Home Safety Program Statistics Blackpool Fire Rescue visited 310 homes over the last 4 weeks. During this time we were able to determine: 37% of residence had no smoke detectors at all... 50% of residence had no carbon monoxide detectors 29 homes required new batteries for smoke detectors (which we also supplied during our visits) If this program saves one life or prevents a structural loss, it’s paid for itself 10x over. Thank you to all Blackpool residents in supporting/ enhancing Fire Life Safety! -M Savage Fire Chief BPFD
