What an adventure again Framing this 2 storey barn style garage on Manitoulin island had its adventures, hot days and laughs with some great guys even though it wasn’t heavy timber, I know some day Steve will build his real dream with big timbers

Today we finished this beautiful Douglas fir frame and it brought some new challenges with the compound joinery but it’s up and done and ready for a roof and then the patio for a new back yard oasis

Sometimes I’m good at hiding surprises and sometimes I’m not.....but today I got some exciting news that I’m throwing out this teaser for. Stay tuned as the fall approaches for an exciting project and in the meantime it’s time for me to finally buy a canoe from an amazing company here in London (Nova Craft Canoe) and get more outdoors

What another great day in my office. This almost 1000 sq ft home is coming along quickly and can be finished as a bungalow or 2 storey. It’s not sold and wants to find a location on the water.....or a country retreat

It's like another winter tease.....but the snow does add a little extra beauty to this frame before the roof goes on

So it's been a busy fall and the shop is all cleaned up and we're still waiting on permits and a timber delivery but I have finally started one of my life long adventures..... a full scribe log home. I've teamed up with Pine Creek Log Homes and we started this home yesterday. Stay tuned and spread the news on this frame that is looking for a a new home (I know bad pun)

Despite being almost 40 degrees today (have I mentioned how much I miss the snow) we were flying timbers again and getting ready to frame the roof tomorrow when it's 45! Eye on the prize let's get this done

It's Friday afternoon and most people are thinking about ditching work and weekending but an old friend asked for some help and who can say no to a frame in a backyard when there's no hand work involved betting these 25' fir timbers in the back yard

What do you do after being on the road for 17 days in northern Ontario? Stop at the shop and load up and head to eastern Ontario to set a frame for friends on a Sunday

Today I went to pick up a beam for a customers mantle and found this incredible barn. A 100 year old untouched 42'x70' here in southern Ontario with the cleanest timbers I've even seen

Thank you to everyone who helped make this frame happen and to help Bethanys Hope for a Cure. A year ago I told Dave and Lindey that next year let's auction a frame and here we are. We're good to go and let's see who wants to take this frame home tonight.

Wow, 4 days, over 150 people on Saturday and a new frame for the elementary school in Lexington VA. There's practically everything in this frame including hand forged iron work and even some scribe with walnut and cherry. See y'all next year
