Merry Christmas to my wonderful clients. I hope everyone had a wonderful day.
It is always such a joy to decorate the poles for Christmas in the Old City Quarter. This year we added 4 candy cane poles at the intersection of Fitzwilliam and Wallace Street. Black Tie Decor hopes that the citizens of Nanaimo enjoy the decorations, and that it gives them joy to see them.
Lest we forget. On Wednesday November 11th at 11:00 AM take 2 minutes of silence to honour all war veterans.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my wonderful clients.
I want to thank Blair Thorburn and Phil Haslip of Devlin Electric Sign for doing such an awesome job of wrapping my car. I absolutely love it.
My brand new Oak Wine Barrels. They look so gorgeous. $150 to rent both
Happy Canada Day to my wonderful clients.
Happy Mother's Day to all my wonderful clients.
Hoppy Easter to my wonderful clients.
Last weekend I was back at the Nanaimo Curling Centre. I put up a 16 foot cascading light backdrop, my white archway was used, and 2 arrow directional signs.
This is 32 feet of an absolutely amazing backdrop.
Yesterday I got to decorate a brand new venue. The Departure Bay Activity Centre in Nanaimo. I did the ceiling treatment with lights, covered up the walls with black fabric, covered up the 32 foot mirror with an absolutely amazing backdrop, and provided the tablecloths, skirting, and icicle lights for the head table.

Love this Christmas song
For the 3rd year "Black Tie Decor" helped decorate "Gingerbread Village" at the Nanaimo Convention Centre. It is always fun to decorate for events.
Besides decorating the poles at Christmas time, this year we also got to decorate for "Wesley Scare" (at Halloween) in the "Old City Quarter". Joanne Pick and Kirsty Jean did such a great job setting up the mini corn maze in Wesley Scare. It is always a treat when we get to decorate in the Old City Quarter.
Most people know I decorate for weddings, but did you also know I decorate for events and locations. "Black Tie Decor" is decor for all occasions. For the 3rd year now we have decorated the poles for Christmas in the "Old City Quarter", and this year bows and bells got added, and more poles were decorated.... We absolutely love it when we get to decorate in our wonderful city. We hope that everyone enjoys the fabulous decorations.
Lest we forget. On Monday November 11th at 11:00 AM take 2 minutes of silence to honour all war veterans.
I want to thank my wonderful clients for a great 2019 wedding season. Right now my daughter, sister and I are in Orlando, Florida having a wonderful vacation. I will be returning on Sunday October 20th. While I am away I won't be able to respond as quickly as I do, but I will respond within 24 hours.
Black Tie Decor is very honoured to be decorating with McNab's Corn Maze and the Old City Quarter on Saturday October 19th. https://m.facebook.com/events/392682464747430?view=permalink&id=393157784699898
Yesterday I decorated my white archway and signing table in royal blue for a wedding at Englishman River Falls. My "bride" chair was also used for the signing of the registry.
For some reason Facebook is acting up and I couldn't link this to my page. Here is a screen shot of a review from Tamara that was just posted this morning (August 30th, 2019)
Last night the Beach Club Resort was decorated with the waves ceiling treatment with Christmas lights inside and globe lights on both sides of the waves. We also put up globe lights on the patio and 16 feet of cascading light backdrop.
I love it when I decorate with the colours of my own wedding (royal blue). Tonight I got to do it at the Duncan Community Lodge (aka Moose Hall). I did 16 feet of cascading light backdrop with cold white and royal blue lights. Spandex chair covers and royal blue chair sashes. Tablecloths were also supplied, and because I had extra chair sashes they were used throughout the hall.
This weekend is a 3 wedding weekend. One bride picked up her chair covers earlier this week. Tonight I decorated at the Moose Hall (Duncan Community Hall) and tomorrow I will photograph at the Duncan wedding.
Next year I get to add a new city/venue to my repertoire. Gold River.
