A beautiful project. We’re so fortunate for our architect friends who give us these fun projects to work on. Thank you DSAI
Congratulations to Matthew van Riesen, Anthony Spick and the rest of the team on this awesome project. The mass timber Shoppers Drug Mart Flagship Store; winner of ACEC Ontario Award of Excellence and Award of Merit this year. We're really proud. And grateful to Cal Brook and Brook McIlroy for giving us the opportunity and to ERA for your invaluable contribution. https://acecontario.ca/news-item/2021awards/
We love summer. We love cottages. We love PEC. And we love VFA! Beautiful project!
This one from Megan Torza and our pals at DTAH. Structure by Blackwell alum Shannon Hilchie. We’re really proud of our people! https://www.theglobeandmail.com//article-pavilion-serves-/
Maggie and Rick!
When we started working on this project with DSAI it seemed too audacious to be real. Four storeys of library spanning over 50m to maintain the existing loading dock beneath. It’s been a long road, but here we are. Thank you to the awesome team from DSAI, and especially Gary McCluskie and Aaron Costain, for giving us the opportunity to contribute to such an exceptional project.
‘Cuz yer awesome!!!
Not our project. But it’s beautiful and it’s our friends’. So please check out this DSAI project with the cool hanging stair.
Congratulations Andre and Meg and the whole super cool gang!
So tremendously well deserved. One of many honours to come.
Join Dave Bowick and Shannon Bowick (of Faet Lab ) as they present on Reciprocal Framing Solutions at this upcoming Wood Solutions Webinar. Join in next Monday at 8:00pm (EST) https://zoom.us///7316026462187/WN_hWcH4NvcQ6GM0SBdT7SaQQ
This was a really fun project to work on. A gorgeous building on a spectacular site. Thanks, MLSA for the privilege.
Thanks, my pals at NORR, for the opportunity to talk about something that, to me, is as important as it is interesting. And for your enthusiastic response. Much love. Dave
Happy Holidays Everyone!
We love art! Working with fabricator, Steve Richards and artist, Ron Arad on this sculpture was such a treat. And it challenged us in so many ways, from the complex geometry of the skeleton to the simulation of the crushing of the tubes to determine jacking forces. All projects should be this fun. https://www.mediaedgemagazines.com/the-canadian-institut//
Have you seen this? It’s amazing. That Shim Sutcliffe are wonderful is obvious. Big Kudos to RJC for structure.
Wow, congratulations Vik and everyone at MJMA, for such well deserved recognition!
This was super fun and inspiring. And we nailed the topic choice. All anyone wanted to talk about, it seems, was Zollinger shells. Thanks again Guenther Filz, for the opportunity.
Congratulations, MTA! You never hold back, do you?
This is such a privilege. Thank you, Gunther, for the invitation. Helsinki is, of course, beautiful. Rejuvenated with a little dip in the Baltic tonight. #loylysauna
So fun to work with LGA. And this project (NCFS Longhouse) never stops inspiring us.
Thanks for letting us help with the most recent one in Spokane, Sebastian and Mar and the Guildworks team! And for letting us share this album of beautiful images of your extraordinary projects.
Which, of course, is why we have enjoyed working with them as much as we have.

Check out this feature on the wonderful Petaluma House by Trevor McIvor Architect Inc in Architectural Record . Thanks to our friends at TMA for involving us in this fun project.
This is awesome. We’re super excited to be working on a number of them including the academic tower with Patkau and MJMA mentioned in the article.
I love it when I see a project, fall in love with it, then realize it was designed by our great friends, and Blackwell were the engineers. Thank you MJMA for the opportunity!
