Today a letter was sent home to help clarify our current visitor policy; we apologize if we have not communicated this clearly until now. While we are still working to limit traffic in the school due to COVID, parent visitors are welcome. We ask, however, that all parents who wish to come into the school - for any reason or length of time - enter only through the front doors and sign in at the office. We apologize if the lack of clarity has caused any confusion or feelings of being unwelcome. At BLCS we value relationships and the family-school connection! We hope to continue to create a school where families feel welcome, while also adhering to COVID policies that will help keep BLCS students and staff safe and healthy

Good evening BLCS! A few cold weather reminders: - We have heap-loads (literally) of winter clothing to give to students (of all ages). Frost bite can occur in 20-30 minutes when it is -30 and in less than 10 minutes when it is -40! Please do not walk in this cold weather without the proper winter gear. If any BLCS students are in need of any winter clothing, please let us know - we have it for the purpose of giving it! - When the buses are cancelled, the school is still op...en and classes run as usual. Families who are able to drive students to school are welcome to, though we understand that when it is this cold driving in may not be possible or safe. Please report absences to the main office as usual so that we are not worried about students who may have walked or who may be driving themselves in. High school students, if you are not able to make it to school, don’t forget, those handy Google Classrooms are ready and waiting for you with everything that you should be working on at home. (Google Classrooms for easy work at home on a no bus day - a COVID silver lining, perhaps? ) Stay safe and warm! Mrs. Barrington
