I am never upset for the reason I think - A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle As a person who in the past always used to be upset at everyone and everything, I have always found this to be true. ... Whenever I find myself upset about something, especially when it’s directed towards other people, work, whatever...I usually don’t have to dig around too long before I find out either: - something hit a sensitive spot, I’m just being reactive and not in control of my emotions - I’m not fully understanding the situation and I’m being unreasonable - I had contributed to the reason I’m upset - or I’m completely at fault for the situation I put myself in and am upset about And the more I realize how it always seems to be like this for me, the more I realize it applies to most people too. A lot of us just don’t realize it. Especially noticeable during this last crazy year or so where sensitivity and emotions seem at an all time high. But that’s where the Trinity of meditation (calmness and self reflection), active learning (new tactics and strategies), and writing (sorting thru my thoughts n actions) have made such a massive impact for me. I can still be an idiot...but I’m not the uncontrollable, emotional, thoughtless mess that I used to be haha. 0 to 100 Update - 59 days straight out of 100 Discipline has always been a weakness in the past, so I know I needed to put myself thru things like this. Sucks that I had to see other people get close/then complete it first before I actually took it super serious. ... My previous high was at 27 days. Before this I could barely do anything for a week straight. I’m now at 59 days straight. Overall I feel way more consistent. Feeling healthier, faster and stronger. A couple weird days where I got weird overwhelmed feelings but was pretty much able to breathe thru it, think, work thru and keep going. Super excited to keep going and beyond *Notes* 1. Intermittent Fasting (9 hour eating window) - Been pretty good with that. - Gives me a schedule to work off to regulate my eating cuz I eat a lot. - One thing I do notice is when I eat more carbs (especially sugar) the night before, the day after my stomach always rumbles like crazy and I feel hungrier 2. Workout - 1 hr - I always tend to leave this one last and it has bitten me in the ass a bunch. - Even waking up some nights to get it done - Lower back n ass getting tight. So having to work more stretching and mobility - Wanting to do more 3. Read - Generally pretty solid with that - Love the idea of picking out specific books for things I’m working on 4. Meditation - Usually one of the earlier things I do, so I’ve been good for the most part - Almost forgot a couple nights recently 5.
