Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, What a comfort it is to know that Jesus is Lord of all, and especially at all times! He is with us even now amidst this pandemic. Thank you for the sacrifices and adaptations you have made, we know you are tired, may God give us all strength. On Thursday our province announced its concern that rising COVID 19 case numbers are beginning to threaten our healthcare system. They have asked all people to follow new temporary health restrictions... and do what they can to "bend the curve back down." The province announced that places of worship limit attendance to one third of capacity. This will not affect us as we are already under that number. However, we do ask that especially during these next few weeks you come to church and proceed directly to your pew to avoid socializing. This also ensures that when you say hi to others attending you maintain your two meters distance. Thank you for this. We also remind you of what you are not doubt already aware: that to come to church you must not have any COVID 19 symptoms, have not been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID 19, must wear a mask, and maintain your physical distancing at all times. Thank you so much for your sacrifice. As a congregation we have freely chosen to follow these guidelines not out of fear or even out of obedience to those God has placed in authority over us (Romans 13:1-7) but out of love for our neighbour (Matthew 7:12) that people might glorify God (Matthew 5:16) God bless you all as you continue to receive Jesus Lord of all! From Pastor Lyons: Hello everyone! I am doing well, just a sore throat and a stuffy nose. Thank you for the prayers. I expect this cold to be over soon. Many weeks ago I had booked this week off with the congregation to spend time with my family and recharge. I will only be doing devotions this week on Wednesday (for Remembrance Day) and on Saturday. My apologies for not giving you more of a heads up; I appreciate our time together and I don't take it lightly.
