The Hamper for the Bouchie Lake Helping Hands Food Program is filling up! Thank to you our community for supporting this important initiative that is being running by Volunteers! Our society would be quite a different place without the Helping Hands of Volunteers.

We are open today from 11 am - 3 pm. :) Coffee is on and we are ready for the popular activity of "puzzling". Seed racks are full and we have a wide selection of soil and soil amendments. We have pet food and a fabulous assortment of poultry and equine supplies and pretty much every farm feed imaginable. Life is good at the BLCS; we are so very grateful!... We have fabulous staff which contribute so much to what the store is and has become. We recognise our consignors; we appreciate each one as they too bring so much for to the store. It our community we are here for; our goal is to provide a service to whomever needs it or wishes to visit us. With the onset of Spring, it is a new beginning. The year will be whatever it is. Whether we continue to live in a world of craziness with Covid or things open up, we are so very thankful that made it through the last year. Thank you to everyone who sharing the past year with us, supporting us. We have had to adapt by doing so, we learnt news ways and thereby became stronger and more resilient. See more

We have LOTS of Farm Fresh Eggs in stock! There are some GREAT benefits of purchasing your Eggs from the BLCS! The eggs are fresh and locally produced by folks that often live right here in the neighbourhood. Many of our egg suppliers are backyard producers that enjoy raising and keeping chickens for their own egg supply and the ones we purchase are the "extras". The eggs are sold on consignment so each dozen is labelled with the producer's name, contact info. and a best before date. This way, you can choose eggs from your "favourite" producer which some folks do. Backyard chickens typically live a much better life than the chickens that produce the eggs found in most grocery stores. Those chickens are often in large chicken barns in cages and never see the light of the day.

Thank you to everyone for coming to visit us for the "10th Day of Christmas" Sales! It was great to see everyone and we even managed to join a few folks for a coffee and a chat. We are always amazed at the kindness of everyone, them sharing their comments / thoughts about the store, and seeing so many happy smiling faces. The success of the BLCS is based upon many variables and YOU, our customers and supporters, are a BIG part! Our consignors are another big piece. So many new people have moved into the area - we are excited to be meeting you and getting to know you on a first name basis. Thank you for making the BLCS "YOUR" Country Store. :) As we move into 2021, we are excited about what upcoming year and what it might bring.

If you are venturing out today to come and see us. Please, Please, Please be CAREFUL. Our parking lot is brutally icy (icey??) with this crazy spring like weather. We have sprinkled some gravel / sand. Best though to park close the front entrance where there is some exposed gravel and hang onto your vehicle tight!!!!
