Remember that time I was meditating after practice and I just turned into a luminous ball of light? Neither do I because time didn't exist. This room is so many things to me now. Practice room, treatment room, Reiki room, the meditation place, library, sacred space. I am blessed to have it to use for so many things. Have you created sacred space in your own home to go within? Tell me in the comments below or send me a pic of your own creations. I'd love to see/hear and conn...ect as I come out of my own cov** cocoon. Do you need to de-stress to help you roll with the shifts of restricted normal unfolding now? I can help you. Come for a Reiki session or an hour of Thai Yoga Massage. Send me a DM for availability. Not sure what normal is or how you will adjust the new habits you just spent 4 or 5 months wiring in? Book a time to have a talk with me about where you want to go absolutely free - face to face or virtually. Sometimes a coach can see that one little adjustment we need to make that can lead to a massive shift in where we want to go and how fast we get there. Last but not least! If you want to catch me face to face for practice I have amazing news!!! @pycsudbury opens this Friday (July 17th) I am teaching Sunday night Yin and Mon/ Tues Hot Power, all 7pm. Book online to get your space for class. @a_spacetobreathe opens Aug 1st at 70 Cedar St and I will be teaching Monday evening Yin, Wed Vinyasa Flow and Thurs Broga all at 530pm I will also be at @round2fitmichelle (Round 2 Fitness) Thurs 7pm and Sat morning 915am.

So this happened a few weeks ago and I kept it under my hat for the most part. Doing my Reiki training has been on my bucket list for a while now. I just kept on giving myself reasons to not do it - too many to list here. One of the biggest ones was the old "not good enough" story. After thinking about it I have one thing to say about it... F*@k that story. I am here to help people heal. To raise their vibrations and get ready for the shift into a new energetic reality where... growth comes from joy and purpose, not slogging through suffering to keep getting lessons to work through. Learning and insight doesn't have to be painful unless we choose to make it that way. With that in mind, here is what I am putting out there. I am doing my Reiki level 3 and Master/Teacher soon. As a way for me to practice and also give back sustainably at the same time I am doing 100 donation-based Reiki sessions. The minimum suggested is $20, anything beyond that is gravy. All you need to do is shoot me a DM if you have a question or want to set up a time. This is how you will feel in your body practicing at @pycsudbury . Electrified. Superhero-like. Strong, happy, connected to your own power. As we shake off the summer to move into fall, I want to help you feel fit and fierce in your body again. How? HIIT Yoga Fusion is a 1-month, 3x a week combination of yoga warm ups and cool downs and a healthy dose of Yoga Shred inspired HIIT intervals in between. (This is an unheated series)... When? Sun 330pm, Tues/Thurs 7am What???? 7am? Yes. Because change is hard at first, messy in the middle, and beautiful in the end. If you do this early you will be lit for the day. And getting up earlier is the basis for a whole host of other highly productive behaviours for those who perform at their best. If you want it, decide that you are a Yes! Schedule the time to work on it and make it happen. It all starts with deciding you want to feel better on your body and taking decisive action to make it happen. If you have any questions, DM me for more info. #yogashred #hiityoga #yogasudbury #yogaeverydamnday #heatingupthenorth #poweryogacanada #strength #possibility #community #strength #flexibility #endurance

I'm pretty sure @yogimemes has got one of the funniest accounts I've ever seen. As a teacher I'm all for people stepping up and trying to go to the next level. But lack of awareness in this is right on par with the ultrashaky headstand that is going to take out a row of people like friggin dominoes (I've seen it happen in a class while practicing). I have also been kicked in the back of the head on more than one occasion by someone falling out of halfmoon. I feel like socia...l media has made people feel like their practice needs to be this graceful, magazine worthy thing. Just move and breathe. Settle into that and the big poses come with time. #move #breathe #yogasudbury #yogaeverydamnday #flipdog #yoga #yogaproblems

Unedited warm up before my Handstands 101 workshop today Power Yoga Canada Sudbury . Falling happens in practice and life. It is our choice as to whether we stay down or choose to rise again and make another attempt. Maybe from a different angle, position or perspective that which we seek is attainable. I'm pretty sure I've fallen way more times than I've won in life to this point but my crash control now is pretty phenomenal. I just seem to keep falling/failing forward. Lan...ding with new perspectives and learning how to adapt. This is by no means a mindset that is easy to adapt but it is so worth it. I was honoured to guide the workshop this afternoon with a group of yogis who were willing to step out of their comfort zones, flip their perspectives and play with what is possible. I feel blessed to do what I do for a living. #handstand #armbalances #handstandtocrow #chatarunga #ighandstands #iginversions #Baptisteyoga #yogasudbury #heatingupthenorth #yogaeverydamnday #poweryogacanada #strength #possibility #play

Trying to meditate this morning when dog 1 approaches and places his paw in my lap to receive head scratches. I dole out the head scratches and ask him to let me meditate. He returns shortly to provide me with a stealthy face lick. I duck the ensuing onslaught of dog kisses and shoo him away. Dog 2 tags in shortly after and politely takes a seat also seeking some head scratches. I oblige and then ask for a bit more time to meditate. She wanders off and then returns to her se...at in front of me to begin licking my available hand non-stop until I finally break the state with laughter because it's too much. What is the point of all this? Whether in meditation or in life there will always be distractions. Some good, some bad, annoying, hilarious, fill in the blank here. It is our job to come back over and over again to that which we desire. Our meditation, the breath, the task at hand. The world is filled with all kinds of things meant to pull us away from the work of discovering who we are, what our purpose is, and how to achieve it. For me, the act of turning inward and slowing down even if only for 10 minutes to just focus on my breath and be still has a profound effect on the rest of my day. Somehow whatever comes after the periods of stillness just seem to flow much easier. #justbreathe #focus #meditation #takethetime #clarity #innerwork #calm

Handstands 101 this Saturday @pycsudbury ! I LOVE inversions and arm balances. Handstand is both. It took me months to get up at the wall and then years to refine actually being in alignment so I didn't burn out my wrists and shoulders to do it. Hours of practice that brought frustration, fear, anger, and doubt that lead to joy, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment. I got to step into a new sense of what was possible for myself when I showed up and did the work. I have... taken all of this and distilled it down into a 2-hr workshop with the most effective ways to go from never being upside down to flipping your perspective fully whether you are a newbie or a seasoned practitioner. Come join me this Saturday from 1 to 3pm at Power Yoga Canada Sudbury to play and explore what is possible for you. Tonight @pycsudbury 8PM. 80s Throwback Jam class! For me the 80s was a time when I was growing up. A lot of things seemed so simple (maybe because I was a child). I watched cartoons, played outside with my friends, rode in cars that may or may not have had seatbelts, and rode a bike without a helmet. Fast forward to tonight where we will throwback to some of the greatest hits of a decade from early hip-hop break beats to pop and rock. We will get to unroll our mats and be lik...e kids playing in the grass again just showing our friends the cool yoga stuff we can do together. Some laughs to help you make it through the middle of the week. It does not matter where or what you come from. It's all about your mindset. I've met people who came from wealth who were mentally and emotionally broke af. I've met people who grew up dirt poor and are the most generous people and powerful leaders. The difference? Their minds. You are created over and over by the thoughts you think and then believe to be true. Changing what you think and speak to yourself is... a crucial first step in changing your whole world. How you speak about your world is an indicator of how you are seeing aka visualizing what you are creating. Are you brave enough to hold the pen of your life and speak a new world into being for yourself? #changeyourthoughts #changeyourworld #raiseyourvibration #bethechange #betterchoices #itstartswithyou #meditate #create #shiftyourreality RS: @walkthetalkshow Thanks for the inspiration!

The first day of a new year has come and almost gone. I think this is a pretty good depiction of how I feel. With the barrage of synchronicity that has occured in my life over the last little while it would be hard for me to argue that I'm not being guided along in my journey by a power greater than myself and they/it has a plan. The deeper realizations came while I was reflecting over all of 2018 though. There have been so many lessons throughout the year that have allowed ...me to become more self-aware and grow. Anger, mental health, addiction, communication, business, coaching, relationships (all kinds), presence, vulnerability, truth, forgiveness, integrity, family. Even with so many opportunities for growth I realized that I had a few habits that didn't allow me to move towards higher levels of performance. I was literally holding myself back in a lot of areas. Time killers like social scrolling and Fortnite. Scattered energy with too many halfway completed projects in development. Irrational fears based on assumed judgement. Over researching options (paralysis by analysis) before taking a first step. So this is my first step. I want to see what is possible to achieve in 1 year if take some of the time suckers out, give myself a structure and test out what doing the opposite of many of my choices results in. I'll tell you tomorrow what I'd like in terms of overall things I'd like to have and be and do over the next year. #bethechange #betterchoices #newyear #fearless #zerofucksgiven #connection #faith #letgo #trust #courage #higherself #possibility

This is what 2 days of my life look like right now for the most part. Is it an absolute? No. But it does give me a framework that includes consistency and room for developments that helps me move forward towards my goals day by day. What is your schedule like? Do you make time for yourself in your day everyday? Is there room to develop skills you need to improve at your job or get a better one? Investing in yourself and your own growth and wellbeing takes work. It also req...uires S_P_A_C_E. You need to make room for development and change. How can the seeds of your new life ever grow if they are choked off by the overgrown weeds of a life that no longer serves you. How do you structure your days so you get the most out of them? #growth #consistency #discipline #coaching #highperformancehabits #selfcare #levelupyourlife

Fresh-faced and ready to step into a whole new world tomorrow morning leading the way for Power Yoga Canada Sudbury. But I didn't feel great from Friday afternoon on this weekend. I had an unshakeable anger that was stirring inside me that was mixed with sadness. Everything in my life is on an exponential climb right now so why do I feel like this? Then it hit me as I sat with it. It has been 2 months since my dad passed.. to the day. So instead of attempting to fill my w...eekend in with practice, committing to completing X number of modules in whatever course I am working on learning or some other form of bullshit busy-ness I have become convinced is evidence of how well I'm doing I went the other way with it. I played video games and watched movies with my nieces. Talked with my mom and my brother. Visited friends to just sit and catch up. My food quality dropped but it was totally worth it (collectively, not with any particular friend(s) ). My biggest insights this weekend came from playing a game called Fortnite. Not a complex concept if you're unfamiliar- you are on 1 of 2 teams, take out the other team while scouting gear in a variety of settings. Here are my Fortnite Insights: 1. You will fail(die).. a lot. Everyone does. Get up and try again later/tomorrow. 2. You will fail because of things beyond your control. Note these but ignore them (like hey that's weird/interesting that happened that way) 3. You will fail because of things within your control. Observe and correct these things over time. 4. You can buy your way to the top in some places but won't have the character created from the experience of the journey you went through to get to where you are now. 5. Practice, discipline, and consistency are paramount to skill development in any area of life whether it's a military op or developing a level of mastery in something you love. 6. Change is inevitable - deal with it by embracing it. 7. If you try and

This really resonated with me today. With so many huge shifts going on in my life right now - jobs, being part of a studio opening, continuously learning, relationships changing/ending. Change is the one constant in our lives yet we act as though everything should always stay the same thus imposing a limitation on ourselves. What if we opened to possibility? What if that possibility was our own greatness. All it takes is a millisecond to make the shift, the decision, to be... limitless. For me, my limitation comes in actually being afraid of my greatness. I have accomplished some truly amazing things in my life (along with some truly epic fails as well) but when I look back on them it's like someone else achieved them. And in some ways it's true. Who I was before has evolved into who I am now. And this incarnation must be left behind and a new version created to get me to the next stage. Like reincarnation occurring within the same life the essence of me remains yet some pieces leave and some pieces stay. I will be sharing more on being limitless, levelling up in life and my own adventures (the successes and the fails) over the next few months while I undergo this transformation. #limitless #infinitepotential #guided #guardianangels #levelupyourlife #yoga #yogaeverydamnday #yogasudbury

Thanks @thefreethoughtproject. For too long people have been force fed a narrative that serves the few and oppresses the many. We can no longer rely on the mainstream media because it isn't the telling of a story of what's going on in the world as free from bias as possible. There is an agenda. The longer we believe the story we have been told about our own individual purposes in the world and humanity's collective purpose we will remain enslaved.

Be the light. It's there inside you now. Let it expand out from the center of your being through every pore of your skin until it fills the world. Allow it to envelop all those whose path you cross to be touched and lifted up by it so they can see it in themselves too. === For me it starts with the breath. Breathe in, breathe out. Feel it. Do that a few more times. Imagine breathing in white light like it's riding along the waves of your breath. See and feel it fill your l...ungs. Breathe out white light back into the universe. Let this dance of breath flow in and out in the morning after you wake up and before you go to bed at night. Even 10 mins 2x a day can make an exponential difference. === The key for me was integrating this in small increments daily. I set aside the time and made it part of my routine. Now if I don't take time my day doesn't even feel the same. It's amazing how our greatest tools are already inside us... if we are willing to turn inwards and see the light that's there. #bethelight #breathe #gratitude #meditation #dailypractice #innerwork #deepwork #feelgood #raiseyourvibration #theuniversehasyourback #family #loveistheanswer #guided

Two themes have been coming up in my guidance from the Universe in the past few days. Gratitude is the first. So I felt it necessary to rock my favorite #spiritualgangster shirt tonight. I am grateful for Yoga, family, and friends more so now than I think I ever have been before. These are the things that make me want to get out of bed in the morning. I am grateful for our dogs Mulley (the silent witness in the corner) and Guinness. Humans definitely did something right to e...arn the company of such infinitely loving companions. === The other thing that came up screaming from every direction today was the message I Am Enough. This needs to be etched to the inside of my eyelids so that I have no choice but to look upon it and accept it's truth. It's not just a truth for me though. This is for everyone. It is a call for inner revolution that no longer accepts heaping spoonfuls of shit from the media about how nothing you (I) have is good enough. Not your job, how much money you make, your spouse, your fitness, all your stuff... It's all just a vain attempt to fill a hole created by you (probably as a child from an incorrect decision or from lack of information). The truth is, there is no hole because you are and always have been whole. Just as you are. You are good enough. #grateful #guided #theuniversehasyourback #family #loveistheanswer #iamenough #dogsofig #furbabies #revolvedchair #flipdog

Thanks @mindfulmft for the insightful post! -original post text below- I saw this and it really resonated with me so I had to share it. I strongly dislike using the word crazy, but here it is in a powerful meme that needed to be posted. We act a certain way because were responding to something our system codes as a threat. We arent just reactive for no good reason. We respond because something feels off. We respond because something doesnt feel safe. We respond because... something needs attention. And heres the thing, it doesnt actually matter if something is off or unsafe. What matters is that when a person is responding in a crazy way, we really ought to become curious about their experience. When a person is mistreated, its no wonder they act out. When a person is spoken to in a condescending way its no wonder they lose their cool a bit. When a person is cheated on and betrayed its no wonder they want to snoop and check your phone. When a person isnt honored or respected its no wonder they demand attention in unhealthy ways. Heres the thing, friends. Stop calling people crazy when you can become curious. Dont treat people like crap and wonder why they cant emotionally regulate things. Yes, there are people who struggle with this even if youre not treating them like crap, but bring compassion and kindness forward to try to understand what a person is experiencing that is having them react in the way that they are. People arent just crazy. Theyre hurt. Theyre betrayed. Theyre abused. Theyre insecure. Theyre wounded. Love people enough to see what scares them and then create an environment that allows them to start healing. #mindfulmft See more

Feathers. Everywhere. It started a few years ago and has been in full swing since. I thought the coincidence of them appearing with such a massive increase in frequency was interesting so I started to do some research. White feathers - faith, support, protection, messages from loved ones or relatives sending on some love. Black feathers - protection, wisdom, magic, the need for endings (and new beginnings).... Finding feathers has become an incredible comfort to me and an affirmation of faith in a Universe that is friendly. It has shown me that I am never alone and am supported along the way always. With so much crazy lunar/astral energy going on right now finding even 10 mins to take your meditation seat can help you ride the waves. Some yoga styles advocate for meditating on new moon and full moon days to work with the energetic fluctuations. In my own practice I will usually do less flow/energetic yoga practices on the new/full moon and do Yin and meditate. ... All of this though is purely an experiment in what works for you at this moment in your life. Side Crow. For some it's a terrifying arm balance that is baffling because of the stacked structure... and the imminent fear of the (possibly public) face plant. For me this is what side crow means - you, at your center, are pure strength and support. You have a structure that when you put one part on top of another it is way harder to fail... or to fall in this case What would you try if the likelihood of failure was significantly lessened or even eliminated? That is the... lesson of side crow for me. Someone showed me a better way, a process. I used the process and learned how to fly a little. If you'd like to learn how to take flight you can find me all over Sudbury teaching classes or DM me and we can work together on helping you find your own wings. #yoga #armbalances #inspiration #igyoga #yogasudbury #yogaeverydamnday #yogashred #fitness #fun #practiceandalliscoming

We are blessed with a creative consciousness. Learning how to use it by reframing our internal dialogue is an incredibly powerful process. For me this lesson came in the form of learning how to pray. Any time you pray FOR something the vibration you send out is one of lack or absence of that thing/quality/event. As such, the universe being supportive of your requests, gives you the lack of what you want. When you pray instead as though it's now, as though it's yours, it bec...omes yours. What do I mean by this? Glad you asked. If you want love, pray LOVE. If you want money, pray MONEY. You are saying this is what I want. In my own life the most recent affirmation of the truth of this came powerfully. We were having a family get together for my dad who isn't in good health. The morning of the party it was dreary and looked like it would rain all day dampening plans and spirits. As I sat getting ready to teach I prayed SUNSHINE and ENERGY. By the time the party started the sky was clear and blue and my dad was up and sitting in his chair where he was able to talk into the night with everyone. The Universe is always listening and gives what we ask for vibrationally. #blessed #grateful #thepowerofprayer #raiseyourvibration #theuniversehasyourback #family #loveistheanswer #guided
