Sorry, hi, we are still here, just so busy after taking a nice break at Christmas. I didn't realize January was almost gone! wow

I'm just going to put this here. I think some of us can afford to be more childish at times! :)

We want to thank all veterans and currently serving for their sacrifices to protect our freedoms and the way of life that we are blessed enough to enjoy. I think it's important to always be thankful for all the little things in life. It is because of these brave men, some making the ultimate sacrifice sadly. That we are so fortunate. Take some time to reflect on them througout the year. I was so impressed last week going up to a client's house seeing a huge poppy on a flag with "lest we forget".

I heard an expression recently. If you look for garbage, there is a good chance you will find it. Alternatively, if you look for good things, there is a good chance you can find them too. It's really about perspectives and taking the time to find our own.

Did anybody catch the annual Perseid meteor shower last week? It was one of the best ones the last hundred years with up to 60 meteors per hour visible!! It was a meteor shower so good even a blindman could see it! I wanted to share this :)

These are a series of before and after pics we did updating a home based office. The cellular shades are energy efficien with an R rating close to 5. They deflect up to 60% of heat. They also help with the cold acting as an insulator. They also help with noise reduction slightly as well. These shades are super light weight and come with a variety of customization options.

We know Covid has flipped the world upside down. There have been some positives, more family time, the earth healing and being able to see stars, and mountains more clearly. Animals in abundance all across the world. This is a pic in richmond back in February. Things will return to normal, just keep smiling and remember we live in the mose beautiful province in Canada!

Did you know your blinds have a hidden story to them? Many people dust and clean their blinds on a regular basis to keep them clean and fresh, kudos to you! Getting them proffessionally cleaned takes it up a level, cleaning frequently missed areas. This blind was only a few years old and was cleaned on a regular basis yet there is a lot of dust and fibres trapped in the headrail. It is common for pollen, dust, insects, and the fibres from the cording wearing over time to get... trapped in the headrails, cut the holes in your slats as well. This generates friction each time you raise and lower it, and also slightly reduces the life of your blind. For anyone with allergies, copd, and other respiratory issues these hidden reservoirs of dust and environmental contaminants can be quite uncomfortable and pesky. Also it is way easier to clean your windows if your blinds are out of them! We offer 30 percent drop off discount. Limited in house service where required and social distancing can be maintained as long as everyone is healthy :)

We are open and offering limited service in compliance with health regulations. We are booking mostly drop off service for everyones safety. In cases where that is not an option we can offer limited in house service. As long as you are free of fever, cough, and any symptons. We pledge to do the same. Have a large enough space to accomodate the 6 foot social distancing rule as well. In the meantime stay healthy.

This is the before and after at Trinity Western University. they have been modernizing their campus. We get to play our part in providing beautiful window coverings. We installed these 3% light filtering roller shades. They are in a cassette to hide the roll and make them pop. They filter out 97% of ultra violet light. They are lightweight and easy to operate and do well for all types of areas. Many blackout, light filtering and room darkening options are availavle in these shades.

This poor blind was victimized by a puppy dog. Its ok we were able to save it and keep it out of the landfill!

This is an installation we recently completed. We modernized the room removing 1" aluminum blinds and replaced them with a light filtering roller shade. It protects the furniture and room from U.V. light and allows a nice outside view!

We just wanted to let everyone know our website is under redesign. We are looking at making it more visually pleasing and highlighting more of the new services we offer. Such as cleaning sheer vertical blinds, mould removal on fabric blinds, restoration work, commercial and residential installations. Over and above all the other convenient services we have been offering the past 20 years. Finding good repair, cleaning or in some cases replacement solutions. We will always consider your needs and budget, sharing our knowledge to cater you a great window treatment solution. I think thats why we have so many awesome customers greeting us with a smile!

Did you know that May 2021 Health Canada is passing laws to ban corded blinds? At this point in time as it sits after that point we may not be able to record Ventian blinds and potentially other blinds. If your cord is fuzzy or showing wear, maybe get them sorted out to extend the life of your window covering as existing window coverings will be "grandfathered in" and allowed to remain for the life of the blind. If you are looking to buy new blinds with cords, doing that... in the near future would be another thought to bear in mind. Some big box stores have converted to all cordless blinds which on high up windows can be a bit problematic or pesky in my opinion. There is the possibility this can change, initially it was suppose to come into effect this year but it was extended 1 more year. Oh and thank you for being our valuable customers :) I am always so thankful for how wonderful everyone is to us!

This is a faux wood we cleaned recently. I think the picture speaks for itself.

Little things make a big difference. We converted this common area from faux wood blinds to some roller shades to help liven up the room again.

This is the before and after on a smokers blind. It is good for your wallet but is also good for the environment. We can refresh some blinds to an almost new condition again. Not in all cases of course but we try our best.

We completed this installation at Trinity Western University to help rejuvenate the common area. They have been enhancing their already beautiful campus.

This is a sliding panel track system we installed recently. It is centre split and pulls apart from the middle. You can also get a right to left, or left to right option. Controlled by a draw string mounted to the side of the frame it is light weight and easy to use. This is a perfect solution for large windows that are difficult to cover. It is a higher end product but it really pops!
