When your young most people want a lot of friends. Having a copious amounts of friends is something to strive for Then we get older and realize less is more, but why is that? Why the sudden change? ... Well, when we're young our focus is on having a good time... Partying and whatever else. Insecurities take over us when we are young, impressing other people becomes more important than actually having a good time. Then as we get older and stop caring what other people think, your perception changes. Those people you thought were your friends turn out being shady, people grow up and move on. My point here is, never allow someone to who is your 'friend' bring you down. We change as humans, and that's ok! TRIGGER WARNING Weight-loss is a topic that is extremely difficult to address publically because most people have different goals, and we don't all have cookie cutter body images. I see FAR too many posts on instagram talk essentially about embracing your bad eating habits and not needing to exercise to lose weight. To be honest this is extremely scary to read.... There is a difference between moderation, and BAD eating habits. Health coaches/nutritionist/dietitians should all be promoting a 'healthy' lifestyle, which sometimes can be difficult, but you know what?... THATS OK! Change IS difficult. Weight loss IS difficult. Exercise IS difficult. Meal Planning IS difficult. But so is not changing anything, and continuing to live the same life you've been living. Am I suggesting it's unattainable? Absolutely NOT! Change is so attainable, but it takes work. Work that most people do not want to do! So how about us Health Coaches stop pretending that you don't need to change a damn thing, cause let's be honest... For change to happen, we MUST change our habits. Simple as that! No matter your size, YOU ARE WORTHY! You deserve love as everyone else. But to suggest that you can still eat as much as you want AND lose weight, is not just incorrect but your doing a disservice to women actually trying to learn and change! You often here people talk about gratitude, and yes we all KNOW what gratitude is.. but, how do we implement it into our daily lives. I understand sometimes it can be difficult thinking about gratitude when so many things in our lives aren't where they should be.. yet But the key to success and happiness IS gratitude. We can wonder what it's like where the grass seems greener, or we can appreciate what we already have.... The thing is, the Universe won't supply you with new adventures until you become grateful with that you were given from the start Take 10 minutes out of your morning, and write down 5-10 things you are grateful for. Stop and re-read them slowly, close your eyes, now picture yourself with everything you already have. The Universe only supplies you with what you need for that moment. In order to move forward you must take a few steps backwards.
