I L I V E D I lived, I laked, I laughed. This reset, the refresh, my heart, mind, and body needed all of it. The universe threw us one heck of a storm in August, and I felt like I couldnt keep up with the chaos of recovery. ... Completely stopping. Could you imagine? No TV, music, radio, small spurts of time on the computer and phone, no gym, referring all your cherished clients elsewhere, not showing up to a job and peers you adore in the grown up world. It all stopped, ALL OF IT, and through the pause, I knew I was loved. Time on the water with Clay has, and will always be my refuel. We know we are fortunate, we work extremely hard to make it happen, we value the people in our lives that go above and beyond to support us in this time together, and we cherish each and every second we have to recharge. I still have moments of fog from the crash, severe headaches if Im overstimulated, and rushes of exhaustion if Im feeling overwhelmed. Yet through this all, I never once thought we wouldnt be okay. We HAVENT been through worse, this has been the worst, and through it all, Im grateful for each and event moment of why is everything so hard because Ill look back on this on time, and be grateful for what I learned in the storm.
