So timely, as I am about to officially unveil my company Blkmail.ca, as well as Roseannbailey.com (soon to be up) as well as a series of postcard and greeting cards, the Growth Mindset Thinkers is finally launched. I would like to thank Black Artist's Networks in Dialogue for allowing me to use their space for my interview. Thank you to Amanda DeSouza and the crew of Media Face, as well Louise Gormley my biggest Cheerleader for her recommendation! http://growthmindsetthinkers.learnteachlead.ca//rose-ann-/

SAVE THE DATE! BLK Ken & Barbie Photography Exhibition & Instillation @ FUSE Dining - 366 Queen Street East Launch Wine & Cheese and Artist talk: Sunday, August 14, 2016 1-6 pm... By Rose-Ann M. Bailey, MEd, BFA, MEd The BLK Ken & Barbie is a unique collaboration that visually reconstructs the real stage of everyday Black men & women's lives and places these dolls in the midst of their reality. The multi- layered element has been a part of the BLK Ken & Barbies series, as they are situated in everyday environmental settings of Black daily lives, juxtaposed with full coloured images merged with haute couture and polished elegance. Rose-Ann M. Bailey is an accomplished artist who has been working in a digital format for the past ten years, but instil the aesthetics of a historical photographic foundation to enhance the final production. My work is closely connected to my passion for image production of Black bodies, as this was my deliberate opportunity to capture memories, validate existence and build self-esteem, therefore, allowing the images of my subjects to become a political instrument, rewriting representation.
