Forestry/Trades Class of 2020-2021

Once again a new group of enthusiastic students come into the Forestry/Trades program for 2020-2021.

The Bloom Forestry/Trades Student of the 2019-2020 year was chosen recently. All participating students vote for a first and second place choice based on a set of criteria. In the six years Tooms has run this program the teachers votes have not been the deciding factor. I'm very proud to announce Jessica Sherbinin as the winner for this prestigious award. Jessica's second semester was remarkable. ... Congratulations to Jessica. She will receive this award in June at the awards ceremony. For the two semesters I have to mention Adelaide, Justin, and Daniel. They were part of the self-named Dream Team, along with one semester students Ashton and Dylan. They all, including Jessica, were learners and achievers. Adelaide always came with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Justin took initiative to get the safety meetings and equipment pre-checks started. When a spot needed filling Justin stepped up. Daniel used the firewood as a workout program and gave it his all. Tooms is going to miss this group.
