Blossom is a celebration of spring blossoms. This bar owes its creamy lather to organic sunflower, fair trade organic Shea butter & rose hip oil and maple water.

It's no secret that I love roses, especially the wild and unruly ones that grown on our homestead. The hips are especially important to us, and we create a lot of beautiful skincare and culinary products with these vitamin C packed gems. On the culinary front we make tea, wine, a vitamin C tonic for winter & an old fashioned jam. For skincare we often infuse the hips in oils creating a lovely plant extract, and this autumn when the rose hips ripen again year we'll be making our first rose hip hydrosol/toner mist (exciting!)

Our new Blossom soap has a new look! Sometimes it takes a while to nail down the perfect look for our soap. This version will start to ship in March, for now it is happily curing to perfection!

Aurora is our call to embrace the free spirit of dancing skies that runs through all of us. It is also a bar that pays homage to my childhood, love, motherhood & sisterhood in the subarctic. This soap is Minty, fresh, cleansing and crafted with premium quality organic oils, botanicals & essential oils.

I am wild about roses! Rose petals, and rose hips are featured in several of our botanical skincare products. We simply can’t grow enough roses! One of the big plans we've started hatching is to plant an entire field with roses! The land is ready. The plan is In Motion! My heart flutters as my imagination runs wild! We’re going to spread rose magic far and wide!! QUESTION: Not just a beautiful skincare product we make tonics, syrups, jams, jellies, teas, and salads with roses. I've often wondered if we should add culinary items to our product line up. What do you think?

The optimist. I am connected to this land. My heart is woven into the vines and blossoms. Humble as it is, there's nowhere I'd rather be. Each year we toil, and sweat, shaping a little bit of the land, while respecting the wild that we've come to love and appreciate. We are humbly aware that the earth will erase much of our work the moment we step aside. We are constant observers, studying the bees, the birds, the leaves, and the weather. Early mornings are a moment of bliss.... We work while observing the magic awakening of nature. Flowers opening refreshed from the dew drops, birds chirping, bees buzzing, energy all around us. There's also the less glamorous activities of squishing potato beetles, and rescuing little seedlings from slugs, but it must be done. There's hardship each season. Failed crops, pests, heat waves, droughts, dry ponds, and wells. A gardener must be an optimist at heart because even after such a grueling season we’ll sit, plan, dream, hatch plans, adapt our methods and eagerly await our chance to do it all again.

Good morning! A quiet COVID Christmas meant I had plenty of time to re-organize the studio, the house, and the pantry. We even got some ferments going so we can replenish our apple cider vinegar finally! This spring like weather has given me a much needed boost of energy! I hope you are feeling content, and carving out some time to do something you love!
