Today we had a Holiday Hop-a-thon to raise money to contribute to Family and Child Care Connections, who will be making donations to the Single Parent Association of Newfoundland and Labrador this Holiday Season #ittakesavillage

This week we saw the friendly request from The Canadian Armed Forces to send holiday greetings to troops, and we thought it would be a great idea to participate! I explained to the children that some people won’t be home with their families for Christmas, and that can make them really sad. So the children each worked hard on making cards and pictures and mailed them off

Remembrance Day can be a difficult concept for young children to grasp, but it’s such an important part of our culture to expose them to - even at the preschool age.
