Fall feels for this Friday morning.

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, we’re opening back up at 9 am again! 10 am was fun, we drank a lot of coffee in that hour before we opened, but 9 am feels like a little step closer to ‘back to normal’. Still social distancing measures in place, still only 4 people in at a time, still lotsa cleaning and disinfecting and hand sanitizer, and masks but we’ll see you a little bit earlier.

July’s flower is the Larkspur. These locally grown perennials come in blue, purple, white and pink. I did some googling and apparently pink larkspur signify fickleness. Kinda like my kids with their ever-changing moods (or let’s be honest, me - choosing some crazy new growth for the business and questioning/doubting/changing things every step along the way - sorry to everyone in my life who puts up with listening to my work through these decisions in real time, ilysm). June’s flower is the rose. These locally grown beauties from @la_primavera_farms were picked up this morning and are some of my favourites ever. Locally grown roses aren’t super common in Canada but a select number of growers do have them available, and when you can get your hands on these incredible stems it’s difficult not to pause and appreciate their beauty. Same-day delivery and curb-side pickup is back!! If you saw our stories today you saw that we are back to making flower deliveries and pick-ups even more convenient with same-day service if your order is placed before 2 pm, Tuesday to Friday, and Saturday before 10 am. We’ve offered this service since opening 5 years ago (woah, I just realized that we turn 5 TOMORROW actually)! Anyways, things changed a bit when we re-opened at the beginning of this month due to avail...ability and a limited team but we’ve navigated these new times a little but now and we’re ready to say yes to all your same day orders starting Tuesday!! So that makes me feel a little more normal and a little bit nicer cause we honestly really dislike telling you no when you’re just trying to send some flowers to someone you love, or get that plant for your home but you need it NOW. Same, I have zero patience. So thanks for having some with us while we find our new normal and navigate this whole thing. Xox See more
