Sometimes, new moms don’t know all of their options and can be quite overwhelmed with where to look for the support they need. Do they want a hospital birth, home birth, OBYN’s, midwives, doctors, who they want there and who they don’t want there...it can be very overwhelming. However, as a doula, we are here to help and support you in ways other people and nurses and doctors and midwives can’t! We are here to support and comfort you on your sacred journey and help care for y...ou during and after the labor and childcare process. Welcome to Blossoming Buds Doula services! I am excited to be apart of your sacred journey of birth and motherhood coming in 2022! In the mean time, tips and tricks will be provided to help you on your journey when others may not be able to be present. Before I jump in with this exciting journey, I’ll share a small bit about myself. I am a young adult, located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, who’s passion is to help moms and babies feel safe and supported during the birthing... process. Being apart of this sacred space and dynamic has been a dream of mine since I was 12 years old. After watching my mom give birth to my two siblings and caring for her while she was in such a vulnerable state gave me immense joy and purpose. Caring for others is why I am on this planet. People ask me, why not become a nurse? Why specifically birth? I choose to be in this field because of the joy and the welcoming of life. I chose this field because of the support people often don’t get during an event such as birth. I chose this field to be a support for those who struggle with feeling safe. My job is to make sure you feel safe and comfortable and protected and loved in a situation that can be very high stress and intimidating.
