We met Aaron Wignes, owner/proprietor of Blue Chip Developments at the Saskatoon Home Show at the end of March, 2015, when looking at options for replacement of our old deck. We spoke only very shortly with Aaron, but were immediately impressed with his concise, knowledgeable answers to our questions including a quick ball park estimate of our project even befor...e seeing the job site (which by the way, was nearly right-on to the actual official quote we had him do for us the following week). We booked the job for early May, and Glenn and Peter of Blue Chip were at our house as scheduled first thing on a Monday morning to tear out the old, rotting deck and construct a new, larger treated wood deck. What an awesome experience. The new deck was completely in place by noon the following day, and was well constructed and beautiful. Peter and Glenn were fantastic to deal with and by completion of the job there was not a speck of evidence that any construction had taken place. The whole experience was pleasant and seamless and you would never guess anyone had been in the yard. Nothing was out of place and we did not need to do a thing except start enjoying the new deck. We were thrilled! We had not planned on redoing a fence this year, but because we were so happy with the deck, we asked them to also give us a quote on a section of fence that was in need of replacement. They said they would fit us in on the upcoming long weekend if we wanted to go ahead with it, and we did. This job was also completed within two days from start to finish, leaving us with the yard exactly as it was when they started the job except with a beautifully constructed new treated wood fence. Peter, Glenn and Greg did a fantastic job (forgive me if I missed anyone as I was not home at all times!). Blue Chip Thanks Karen and Jeff Brousseau for a great Testimonial!! Thanks again guys! We have had the pleasure of contracting Aaron Wignes on two occasions. Firstly, he and his crew with Blue Chip Developments did our exterior renovation including landscaping, new windows, doors and trim. We have a 35 year old home so new windows were a challenge. The outcome was outstanding! We were more than pleased. Our yard has become a dream, half hour maintenance once a week, ou...r home has a face lift and it still suits our neighbourhood. Aaron listened to our needs and executed a job, which at times took some twists and turns, resulting in our complete satisfaction. 10 months later, we contracted Aaron to take on our interior main floor renovation. We were shocked when on the first day of demolition his crew of very dedicated and hard working individuals had the walls removed, old cupboards out and flooring up. Aaron had estimated our reno to take 4 6 weeks. Everyone we spoke to told us to double that time frame due to their experiences. We moved out to allow for an easier living situation and work area for Blue Chip to be most efficient, and we moved back in exactly 27 days later. Remarkable! Anyone who has watched the home reno shows on T.V. has seen the disasters that can take place during a renovation. We all have friends and family that have been displaced from their homes for extended periods of time during a renovation due to disorganized contactors. The organizational skills that Aaron conducted during our renovation were simply impressive. He stayed within our budget, provided excellent advice and arranged subcontractors perfectly; the transition between electrical, plumbing, cabinets, countertops, flooring as well as painting and finishing completely seamless. We were impressed daily by the diligence and effort by the whole team. Their hard work ethic and friendly interactions with us were appreciated throughout. The end result is magnificent.
