2021, let’s go. Before we talk 2021, lets look back on 2020. Considering all of the challenges that 2020 brought forward, it actually wasn’t THAT bad for our little organization. We were fortunate enough to have a reasonably busy year, and we are very thankful for this. We know that many small family owned companies like ours were hit much harder by the pandemic and many didn’t make it out alive. We do not take our success for granted, and know that luck factors in somewhere... there’s no way we can take all the credit. We grew in 2020. The number of people we employ grew, but that’s not what we’re talking about (it always goes up and down anyways). We’ve been pushing hard to implement changes within Blue-Con in terms of culture, productivity strategies, decision making, manpower, etc., and we are finally starting to see these changes take place. We also learned what our weaknesses are, and as we continue to eliminate artificial harmony, we will continue to acknowledge, attack, and conquer these weaknesses in 2021. We don’t know how many crews we will run in 2021, but we know for certain how we want these crews, and everyone else at Blue-Con, to operate. Looking forward to what this year has to offer!

That end of the season push to get as much pipe in the ground as we can before Christmas!

1 HDD pull completed, only 5 more to go.... After many hurdles and challenges we finally pulled this 500mm HDPE waterline under Nose Creek on Friday. Tons of brainstorming and problem solving went into making this happen, and boy does it feel good to successfully pull it through. Now let’s hope the next 5 are easier than the first one.....

Yet another large concrete structure installed - even bigger than the last one! This is actually an OGS (oil-grit separator) that filters the storm water before it continues through the storm system. Great job to Lorne and his team for pulling this off.
