February is the month of love. Love for our families and friends we miss dearly, community, pets, and co workers. Happy February from all of us here at BMM.
Today marked the end of our "Summer Bottles for Seniors" fundraiser. Jenny Kers of Stayner provided the music We raised $367.90. $300 will be donated to the Seniors Meals on Wheels in Clearview. $67.90 will go back to our BMM seniors to their Resident fund. Pop tabs that were collected will be donated to Pop Tabs for Wheelchairs. Thank to all the staff, Residents, community members and family who contributed.

We celebrated National Grandparents Day (tomorrow) with Hands on Exotics. Great morning, but we sure wish our grandchildren and great grandchildren could have joined us too.

Labor Day weekend marks the last official weekend of summer, and the last week to donate your empties and can tabs to a good cause. Donations will be accepted until Saturday September 12th. You can leave them at the front entrance. For every $50 raised, a member of the Management team will get "the water to them". Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. As of today, weve raised $302 for the Clearview branch of "Meals on Wheels". Pop tabs will be donated to "Pop Tabs for Wheelchairs".

September, the month when Pumpkin Spice comes back with the start of Fall, the kiddies return to school, we celebrate Grandparents Day, and the start of German Oktoberfest. We have some of the best family members here at BMM. This past weekend we had a donation of a 30g aquarium, with everything supplied, along with the offer to take care of it. Now the task of naming these two beauties
Congratulations to Jessica Knight, our amazing Housekeeper!! She was the winner of our 50/50 Draw to raise money towards our "Summer Bottles for Seniors" fundraiser. So far we have raised $255.50. Proceeds will be going to the Clearview branch of Meals on Wheels, Red Cross.
BMM is looking to expand our home. We are wanting a couple pets for the enjoyment of our Residents. We are looking for a bird cage/bird-canary, budgie or cockatiel, and a self running fish tank- has a filter system and lighting. If you know of anyone selling or looking for a good home for one of these items, have them contact Cheryl, Recreation Manager x 304, [email protected].

Visiting hours will be continue to be 7 days a week, however you can only book an arrival time of between 9:30am-11:30am and 2:00pm-4:00pm. All visitors must come to the front door to be screened, then you will be directed to your visiting area. ... Please remember with the change in weather, always come with a surgical mask, as you an "outside visit" could quickly turn into an "inside visit". One of our Residents, Ann had a hungry visitor after our event this afternoon. The little guy was after her watermelon.
The family of Gage Currie would like to sincerely thank the BMM staff for the care and compassion given to our Dad - with special thanks to Marianna. Dad lived a full, long life and although we are heartbroken, we are grateful that his suffering was short. He can now rest with Mom.

Family and Friends Visiting Update. * All visits must continued to be pre-booked through Cheryl, Recreation Manager. 705-428-3240 x 304 or [email protected] * Visits continue to be limited to three visits per Resident per week (a week being Monday to Sunday) * Visits will continue to take place in designated visiting area- on the patio for outside visits, and in the Library for inside visits.... * There continues be no contact during your visit. * All items that are brought for the Resident, need to be dropped at the front door to be held prior to your visit. If it is a perishable item, it needs to be given to the screening staff to be disinfected upon arrival. * When coming for your visit, please drive around to the back of the building where a staff member will meet you and do the screening process. * Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your visit Inside Visits: * Limit of 2 visitors * Each visitor must wear a surgical mask during the entire visit which you need to bring with you- we will not be providing visitors with masks. Outside Visits: * Limit of 3 visitors * Each visitor must wear a face covering during the entire visit which you need to bring with you-we will not be providing visitors with face coverings. I want you know our new activity assistant Lahela we all love her hopefully you all will get a chance to meet her as well.
So exciting after 4 months of meals in room we were able to come down for lunch. The chatter was loud and wonderful
One week into our "Summer Bottles For Seniors" fundraiser and we had enough to make our first returns. 250 cans and 17 bottles earned us $28.40. Way to go BMM community. Thank you to our staff and Stayner community for your donations this week. The pop tabs from all the cans donated will be taken to a organization that makes wheelchairs out of them.

Summer Bottles for Seniors Do you have spare change laying around? Do you have any empty liquor bottles or cans? For the month of July and August, Blue Mountain Manor will take all that off your hands. Through a Summertime Bottle Drive, we are raising money for a local Seniors-related organization in Clearview Township. Donations will be accepted through the summer until Sunday September 6th. For every $10.00 increment we raise, a member of the management team will pay th...e price at our Grandparents event on September 12th. All donations can be dropped off in the front doors of Blue Mountain Manor, 236 Weir Street Stayner in the designated blue bin. There are also donation envelops available for those who prefer to make a monetary donation. Family & Friend Visit Update: We will be resuming our Outdoor Visits next Monday, June 29th; then starting Monday July 6th, we will be be starting Indoor Visits. * The Indoor Visits will be take place in the Activity Room only. Anyone wanting to come for an indoor visit, MUST be tested for COVID within the last two weeks prior to the visit. This is because of you entering the building. * ALL visits- whether it is an indoor or outdoor visit, will be limited starting next Mond...ay to TWO visits per Resident per week (Monday to Sunday being a week). * Indoor Visits will be limited to one visitor; and Outdoor Visits will remain limited to three visitors. * All visits must be booked ahead of time, as a staff member needs to be available to do your screening prior to the visit and to disinfect the area after your visit. We also continue to have Window Visits (we would appreciate you letting us know a head of time when possible), and Skype Visits- Bluemountainmanor Retirement, (need to be scheduled a head of time with Cheryl) Please contact Cheryl, Recreation Manager x 304, [email protected] to book your visit time slot.
