The Small Home Initiative Check out this unique project. A Delta family has created a one-of-a-kind housing development that is helping with the housing crisis. After working closely with the City of Delta the Higgin’s Family designed, lobbied and rezoned their property to accommodate their aging family. A first in Delta B.C.. Built by Blue Ocean Construction Inc. ... The family demolished it’s 50 years old Rancher and built four separate homes on the same lot. Built and fitted onto the original family’s standard lot in Delta, BC these four homes (two duplexes) were uniquely designed to accommodate the same family and their children who now wanted homes of their own. This kept their family close by and in the same neighbourhood. Three generations now live in this lovely duplex complex, and will continue to enjoy the original property for many years to come. Canterbury Lane is custom home development situated in the District of Burke Mountain in Coquitlam. Oxford Heights, and Park Ridge Estates are nearby neighborhoods. While Canterbury Lane has no properties currently available, the community of Burke Mountain is continuing to flourish in development. Blue Ocean Construction Inc is proudly participating in the Greater Vancouver Home Builders’ Association (GVHBA) annual Coats for Kids campaign to help make a difference in our community. We are providing a drop off location for new or gently used coats for children of all ages, particularly items for kids ages 12-17, during our office hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Collection dates are from Thursday, November 1 through Friday, November 30.... All coats will go towards the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau & the Surrey Christmas Bureau, organizations who’s outreach helps to provide a brighter Christmas for families in need. Donation Tip! Even though some teens fit adult sizing, the coats need to appeal their age group. Hoodies are always a popular choice. Buying new items for donations is also an option, along with donating scarves, hats, gloves, and new unwrapped toys (hockey sticks, soccer and basketballs, and art supplies are always a hit).
