The beginning stages of our #peertopeer fundraising events are so much fun. There's so much strategizing, white-boarding, KPI-planning, swag buying, designing, creating, filming, partner zoom calls and more. It's truly an exciting time. But when that's all said and done, when the event has finished and our hard working team has finalized the data, this day comes. The day when we put all of that faithful fundraising into envelopes and mail it off to our trusting, valued partne...r charities. Today we sent off grant cheques to charities involved in Ride for Refuge and The Grand Parade this year. We're taking this moment to thank them for their fundraising diligence, in the midst of so so SO many event changes. In many ways, #ride20 and #tgp20 were the most successful fundraising events we've run in 10+ years of our work as Blue Sea Foundation. And for that, we have tremendous gratitude for our friends and partners who weathered the 2020 rollercoaster with us See more
Proud of our hard working charity partners, who are already finding early momentum with #cnoy21 thanks for your trust along the way - this year will undoubtedly be different, but safer and better than ever.
We're feeling incredibly grateful for our 9 partner charities in our event The Grand Parade, which took place on Sept 19th. Each charity worked hard to navigate the changes this year, and together we raised over $160,000 (our goal was $125,000!) for aging friends and family across Canada
Incredibly proud of all of our Ride for Refuge charity partners that worked hard at their fundraising this year - we just hit 100% of our national $2,000,000 dollar goal! (and the fundraising hasn't even stopped yet)
To our dear friends in the BIPOC community, We see you. We hear you. ... We value you. We're outraged at and saddened by the unjust people and systems that have impacted you for generations. We stand with you in solidarity - all days, but especially this one. #blackouttuesday
Build your culture of philanthropy by elevating and embracing giving and asking everywhere in your charity. #fundraisingisessential
This is how #covid19 has interrupted some of our plans - like a punch in the mouth. If you feel that pain too please enjoy the recording of our recent webinar which answers the question, "How do you fundraise through the pandemic?" >> Heres the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9eGI-fbZaU
We polled our "well, this sucks" webinar attendees yesterday and their answers reflect our own sentiments. We're all looking for answers, ideas, and a plan while pining for encouragement, hope, and a hug. #staywell
We've invited Larry Matthews, one of Blue Sea's favorite experts on fundraising and communication to spend an hour with us to answer some tough questions about fundraising in the teeth of a global economic downturn and pandemic. Join us this Thursday, April 30, at 2pm EST. Register below and get your questions ready. > https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_q-O7TNFcT6ydJs1XbtxpZQ
