Gerald arriving back into the Town of Churchill after their 100 mile run. The dogs look great! Thanks to Bill Fong of the Iceberg Inn for this great video!

Gerald and his dogteam will be arriving in Churchill having completed a 100 mile run in approximately 30 minutes. Despite the fact he started this race and completed it with Thunder (the dog on our logo many years ago) he has been denied entry into this race unless he completes this qualifier. The children and great grandchildren of Thunder are part of this 10 dog team. We will post photos/video as soon as we are able. One remarkable human being.... and a team that is driven to show the world there are better ways to care for dog teams.

And then there were 26..... today we said goodbye to two more of our sleddog family. Thanks to Dr. Jonas Watson who helped them go peacefully in our arms alongs...ide their pack. Thanks to Dr.Lisa Sawka for helping us arrive at these difficult yet necessary decisions. These dogs had incredible lives and if anyone would like go send us photos of the joy they brought to so many from around the world we’d love to put together a collage to share. It would help us get through this See more

With all these new travel restrictions, it leaves the tourism sector with so much uncertainty for the future. Many of us are feeling like we just want to bust out of all these restrictions and break some new trail....and put this pandemic behind us. Same goes for our sled dogs, while they love to pull....sometimes doing something different on the trails just feels good!
