L O C K D O W N (F-bomb rant alert) In compliance with our Premier’s announcement today, Blush Body Sugaring will be closed for the second time, effective December 26th, 2020.... Allow me to say...this... fucking... sucks. I understand the reason behind this decision but let me also say it real loud for the people in the back.. SMALL BUSINESSES ARE NOT THE FUCKING PROBLEM!! We have very small numbers in our settings, in fact I personally only allow 1 client at any given time into the studio. We sanitize, we disinfect all surfaces after each visit, we wear masks, we’re literally just trying to SURVIVE and feed our families. So many small businesses have closed due to this pandemic. I won’t go down without a fight but I’m about to speak some real truths here. I am exhausted. Physically, trying to recoup my losses from the first lockdown. Mentally, with trying to juggle life as a new business owner, appointment rescheduling, my children, making sure they’re okay through all of this, fearing failure, all the things! And financially! Can I get a show hands for how many business owners are drowning in debt from all of this? Business ownership is NOT easy, it is not luxurious, and we are most definitely not swimming in a pool of money just because we work for ourselves. All that being said, I’m working hard to see the positive in all of this. Trying to embrace this time off and remember that I’m not alone. Many of us are struggling. If you’re a business owner (or not) and are feeling the pressure please reach out! We MUST talk about our hardships and help each other through them. We are not alone. We WILL get through this together! I think my rant is over so thank you all for listening, supporting, and being patient.
