Hi everyone!! Hope your new year has been great so far Wanted to give you all a quick little life update and to fill you in on some changes that are in the works! As some of you may know-I'm taking off next week for Toronto to go back to CMU College to pursue Special Effects Makeup for TV & Film. But don't worry-bridal makeup still has my heart, and I will be home for wedding season ... With this change- I decided to create a seperate Instagram account to update with all the fun things I'll be doing. Follow me there @laursnowmakeup Blush's Instagram page will be fully transitioning to only bridal, private clientele, lashes, brows and makeup classes! I also hope to post some product reviews and kit details in the near future. I'm totally open to hearing what you would like to see from me! All editorial, commercial, film, tv and other projects will be posted on the other account from here on out! I've also decided that I needed a hand with bridal season next year, and have hired my wonderful friend @makeupmegdid to be a junior artist for us and take on some weddings of her own! Of course, I will be accomodating current brides that have had to reschedule their dates first, and will be booking other bridal parties from there! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all essential workers for all their hard work during this pandemic. We would all be truly lost without them. Let’s all keep them safe by staying at home as much as possible. #flattenthecurve ... Like most of the beauty industry, I have ceased doing any services for the time being until the government deems it safe to do so, which unfortunately may be months. I’ve been taking the past few days to reach out to any clients who may be impacted by this shutdown, most importantly bridal parties. If you have not yet heard from me, please don’t panic as I am trying my best to keep this process streamlined and organized on my end. In this downtime, I have also made a commitment to show my followers and clients a little more behind the scenes information as well as some product and technique tips and tricks. Because of everything going on in the world right now, I thought the best place to start would be sanitation practices. Sanitation has always been one of my top priorities while doing makeup and will always continue to be, even after this pandemic is over. HELLO! I've gained quite a few new followers recently so I thought I'd reintroduce myself. My name is Lauren Snow and I'm the owner and artist behind Blush Makeup + Beauty. My makeup career started in 2015, beginning by applying makeup to friends and family for special events. That same year, I began working as a beauty consultant in a retail chain while learning and building my freelance clientele. In 2018, I travelled to Toronto to pursue an education in Total Fashion... Makeup Artistry at College of Makeup Art & Design. Here, I expanded my knowledge of makeup and hair styling techniques, specializing in artistry for photography. Upon returning, I rebranded my business to Blush Makeup + Beauty and have been continuing to grow my business ever since.
