Over the years, we've always offered event design (aka wedding styling) but I didn't promote it as much because flowers were and still are my first love. But the more creative control I had over a wedding, the more beautiful and cohesive the weddings became, I fell deeper in love with design. I've always used this analogy and it's so true: It takes more than one ingredient to make a good pie. So to with a wedding, flowers are just ONE aspect to a wedding design, it takes ...more than just flowers to create a gorgeous wedding. There's linens, paper goods, lighting, the list goes on. It's one thing to design a hand-tied bouquet for the home. But it's a whole other feeling designing a special bouquet for a bride. I love it and I miss it so much. It just reiterates to me that my love for weddings will never go away! Can't wait to my hands on some flowers this weekend!

Playing around with leftovers the other week. Contemplated whether I should post it, wasn't sure if it was "instagram worthy".. but I'm doing it anyways... letting go of the fear! ...

As each wedding this year gets pushed into the next. I'm trying to motivate myself to keep staying creative. Lately, I've been creating with different flower combos, trying new design techniques, researching unique color palettes, sketching installations that I dream of making one day. Trust me next year, we're gonna be more fierce than ever! . . Any couples wanting a wedding with colour? I'm here and ready!

Oh it was so nice to touch and play with some flowers this past week! I didn't realize how much I missed it. So I decided I'm going to do this every week! I've been MIA on social but it has been intentional. This pregnancy was such an emotionally taxing journey, I had to focus all my energy on bringing our baby home safely. (I'll share our story with you all one day). Now that our baby is here () I can focus on what this pandemic means for BLUUMBLVD. We'll still be here, don't worry! But we will look a little different. We're looking to change and possibly bring back some of our services to better serve our couples.
