STEP BY STEP ON HOW TO APPLY FOR COVID-19: CANADA EMERGENCY RESPONSE BENEFIT APPLICATION 1) Google my account CRA and click on the link my account for individuals 2) Scroll down to CRA register and click Option 2 3) Follow the dedicated login based on birthdays is the day you continue to apply 4) When it’s your day, click CRA register again 5) Enter your social insurance number 6) Validate your identity and enter in the following postal code, date of birth and a line number from 2019 return if you have filed, if not it will ask for a line number from 2018. If you need this number and we completed your returns please email us or it will be in your tax package from us. 7) Hit next, and a screen will say that CRA is mailing a 10-digit code for you in the mail. (you do not need this code to apply for benefit) Hit next Verification comes up and confirm postal code and then click the dot and hit next 9) You need to create a user ID example thuggins1977 (this is me) 10) Then you need to create a password, write them both down 11) Now these questions and answers are only for you so complete all 5 and then write them down or print page outbefore hitting nextclick on at the bottom, do not ask me a security question each time I login using this device 12) Then you come to a page of terms and conditions scroll to bottom and you will see your id, so type in password and hit agree 13) Hit next 14) Now my account terms, scroll to bottom and hit I agree 15) Now you can apply. first thing that comes up is COVID-19 CERB Hit apply 16) Scroll to bottom and select the period which should say March 15-April 11, 2020 17) Now certification read and make sure you actually do meet all requirements the scroll to bottom and hit I certify and click box, then hit next 18) Now you are done, it should say that you will receive your benefit in the next 3 days! Covid 19 update As we are nearing our 2 week shutdown, we have decided to extend our closure to help fight Covid 19. We are still in the office completing Tax Returns, HST’s, Payroll etc. Our contact will remain via email and phone and our Dropbox will remain outside our door during office hours.
